Vehicle Detail
This car was used by my son when he went off to college in Kansas. He is now moving on to bigger and better things and no longer needs this car. The car is in very good condition with a few minor flaws. The main thing about this car is the very low mileage of under 49K. A couple of things to note. Some time ago, while in Kansas, the car was involved in a minor fender bender which has been professionally repaired. You cannot tell where it was damaged and involved repairing the driver side door. It was very minor. This past month, while my son was driving back from college in the car, a tire from a Semi blew out in front of him. The parts of the tire rolled into the front and under the car. This was just repaired, again professionally with charges exceeding $3000. The air conditioner condenser was also damaged and was replaced. What remains to be completed is a part from under the car, a pan of sorts, which had to be ordered and is to be installed in the next few days. There is a small scratch/gouge in the paint on the right front quarter panel that needs to be fixed, but should be no big deal. I have taken a picture of it, it's in the gallery. There is a hairline scratch on the hood, maybe four inches long that can be buffed out, or at least I think that is the case. On the dash, one of the vents needs to be removed and the little fins fixed, or else it needs a new/replacement vent. The shift boot needs to be replaced. I have ordered a new one from Honda, have already paid the $80 for the boot and downloaded instructions whereby this can be easily replaced in about 20 minutes. It will be available to install in a few days. At one point in the remote past, a new clutch was needed and was installed by the dealer. Except for the above mentioned issues, it is a very sound car. It looks like new. The finish on the paint is very shiny and mirror like. The upholstery is in excellent condition. The air conditioning is cold. Everything works. Again, this is a fine vehicle. I have yet to see a 2006 with as few miles as are on this Civic. If you know much about Hondas, this car's engine is just getting broken-in.
