This vehicle is being offered as traded. That means that I have test driven the car and had the oil changed, and had it checked for problems. It is mechanically sound and drives well but could use some attention. It has a minor dent on the Driver's side fender in front of the door. It has some "binding" when turning tight turns like in a parking lot. It drives and rides completely normal at regular speeds and on the highway. The car is 100% driveable and usable in the condition it is in today. It still qualifies for Penn Warranties listed below. I have test driven this vehicle over 200 miles and will attest to its excellent running performance. The transmission performs properly at all speeds with smooth shifting. No transmission problems. No engine problems. No leaks or problems. Has a smooth and straight ride. It just binds a bit when turning tight corners at slow speeds - like backing in a parking lot. Otherwise has a great ride. Brakes, tires and exhaust are all good. Qualifies for warranty through Penn Warranty - See info below.EXTERIOR: The factory silver paint shines new. This exterior has no ugly rust. It has one touched up paint bubbling area above the rear wheel well - photographed. There is a dent where the drivers' side door meets the fender. It is noticible with some touch up paint that doesn't match very well. - photographed. This does not affect the door performance. The door is not dented. The fender in front of the door is. The door opens and shuts properly. The remainder of the vehicle looks excellent with no problems. Just afew dings and scratches. The car is clean and straight. INTERIOR: The interior of the 2004 Subaru Forester is roomy and comfortable. It has all the power options included, along with CD, Cruise and more. There is plenty of room and has a large rear cargo area. The interior is in excellent condition. The dash, trim, and seats are all very good to excellent. The carpets are clean and mostly excellent. There are some slight wear marks at the driver feet. Overall this is a very good interior. Clean and comfortable. Not showroom clean, but clean. Odor free. Am/Fm CD Stereo, Power Door Locks, Power windows, Cruise Control, Air Conditioning, Tilt steering wheel, All wheel Drive, and more.THINGS THAT MAY BE NEEDED: Since this is an as traded special there are some things you may want to do to make this vehicle perfect. There is the dent on the right front fender near the drivers door. It doesn't need repair - but would look nicer with it of course. There is no structure damage to the car. This is basically a minor dent. The rear panel near the wheel well has the small paint bubbling area, where there is some surface rust. Could use some touch up work but not needed. The wheels bind a bit when turning sharply - when driving slow in parking lots, you can feel some binding. Otherwise the car handles excellent with no defects at all. This binding problem is a common with Foresters and can be repaired. But I'm not exactly sure of the cause. It is something you might want to take care of. It probably isn't needed right now, as the car drives excellent on the road with no problems. Remember this car is completely drivable and is basically ready to go.
