Vehicle Detail

1969 Buick Electra Convertible: This beautiful 1969 Electra Convertible is out of a collection from someone in my local club. We're not sure of the exact history of the car, however, it is quite obvious that the car has been garage kept and cared for it's entire life! Nice color of Butternut Yellow with tan interior, factory air conditioning, and the factory Buick 8 Track player. This is a good looking AND RUST FREE Buick. A great investment and a fun car for the next owner. The Buick Electra 225 was a full--size luxury car that was made from 1959 to 1990. The 225 in the name of this General Motors land yacht signified the fact that it was 225 inches in length. It was also known as by the nickname "Deuce and a Quarter." In 1969, the Electra's body was streamlined. Gone were the rear fender skirts and ventless front windows were added. The 1969 Electra 225 came as a two-door coupe, two-door convertible and four-door sedan. Engine Specifications This 1969 "Deuce and a Quarter" came equipped with a 7.0-liter 430-cubic inch, eight-cylinder motor. This engine produces 360 horsepower at 5,000 rpm and 475 ft-lb of torque. It has a compression ratio of 10.25 to 1. Transmission The 1969 Electra came with automatic transmission as standard. It used the Turbo 400, which was popular on General Motors vehicles at that time. It was an aluminum cast three-speed. Features Due to stricter federal safety standards, 1969 saw the implementation of some safety features that many drivers today take for granted. Headrests became standard. To prevent unintentional rolling, the steering wheel now locked when the transmission was placed in "Park." Optional features included such goodies as air conditioning and an eight-track player. The 430 V8 idles very well and makes good power. The transmission is very smooth through the gears and also works well. The car gets down the road and flows with modern traffic effortlessly! The car also has newer brakes and a fresh tune up. The air conditioning will need to be charged as it is not cold currently. This Buick is a mostly unrestored car, but again, we don't have much history on it. The paint and chrome look very good from any respectable distance, but are starting to show their age in some areas. Interior looks very nice and has very little wear. The top is in poor condition and needs to be replaced. Engine compartment and trunk compartments are nicely detailed and tidy. Overall, it's a sharp looking and driving Buick and you'd be hard pressed to find another one like it! If you want a good one, I suggest you give this one a serious look.
