This is a Canadian Mercury but called a Monarch. It has some cool differences like the front bumper and Crown covers for the front door locks. Has lions in the hood and trunk emblems. The engine is a 312 same as in all 56 mercs,runs really smooth and quiet, new edelbrock 500cfm carb, auto transmission, fairly new exhaust system, needs brakes so it cannot be driven at this time, I have a brand new master cylinder for it.I am not sure as to the mileage on the car as it is a '56. Floors seem good and solid but as you can see by the pictures it needs some body work and tlc. I bought this car to drive but had the right back door backed into and the guy responsible didn't get it fixed as promised. and I don't have the time or facilities to fix it myself. I got a very good door with good glass and put it on but again it needs body work to get it to fit right. This could be a very good fixer and driver and a lot of fun. It got a lot of good smiles and thumbs up when I was driving it. It needs to hopefully go to a good home. Someone who can appreciate a 312 which is fairly rare in itself and the nice style of the Mercury/ Monarch body and chrome.
