Vehicle Detail

Very nice 1982 Mazda RX7 GSL. It's been repainted, so it has a glossy shine, as evident in the photos. The interior includes leather seats in very good condition. In addition, it has good tread on the tires (one close-up photo included as a reference), a new NAPA battery, and new OEM emergency brake cables. The ACSI-certified brake mechanic who installed the cables said the brake pads have about 75% of the pads remaining. It has a new sport exhaust system and has been undercoated. This GSL has the typical upgrades, such as leather seats and a moon roof. It's been upgraded with a more powerful 13B engine from a newer GSL-SE. The 13B motor has more HP and has fuel injection rather than the complex carburetor system found on 12A rotary engines. It also has the nice, upgraded SE wheels and GSL-SE badge on the rear. I've been obsessed with 1st generation RX7s since I bought my first one in 1981. I bought this one to drive to car shows and to tool around on weekends, but I now have 3 grandsons to take on excursions with me, and it's obvious that I need to upgrade to a larger sports car. It's realistically priced for an RX7 that already has new paint and parts. Considering improvements and upgrades made in the last year, the starting price is great. The car has been maintained but is not a 100-point show car. There are spider-web cracks in the paint on the top of the urethane bumpers, and it has a few minor parking lot signs of a car that's driven. The stereo has been changed to an aftermarket JVC. The rear deck carpet shows use, as do small interior areas. None of these issues are large, and they can't be seen in the photos. I've listed them to include a "reality check view" of the car, which is nearly 30 years old. The car tuns lots of heads and gets lots of attention, as it looks and sounds great. It's rare for me to park and see another 1st generation RX7 in sight! Please bid only if you have funds to complete the purchase. $500.00 PayPal deposit is required within 24 hours of sale end, and the remaining balance is due within 7 days. If you have less than five eBay purchases, please contact me prior to bidding, or your bid will be cancelled. The car is for sell locally and I reserve the right to end the auction prior to closing. Buyer is responsible for picking up or shipment of the car, but I'll be happy to assist by meeting the shipper in my city. If you have any questions, please email me through eBay or call (Jeff) in Lexington at 859-273-9700 before 10 pm Eastern time.
