Listed for sale by Coventry Garage LLC, is a 1980 MGB convertible that is in absolutely wonderful condition. We are offering it for sale at $5,100.00. This car has been owned by one family since new and has only 79000 MILES ON IT. This car starts right up, runs well and we have just had it Pennsylvania inspected and the engine oil changed. This car is a very original rust free example of the last year of the MGB. This car has a 4 speed manual transmission and is a matching numbers car with the original drive train. This car is Pennsylvania inspected (safety and emissions) through July 2013. This car is ready for summer top-down fun and ready for the Pittsburgh Vintage Grand Prix where MG is the marque of the year! VIN# GVVDJ2AG504664 This car has all of its factory original components: consisting of a 4 speed manual transmission and in line 4 cylinder engine. It has a bright “Pageant blue” exterior with a tan vinyl interior and a black convertible top with a crystal clear rear zipper Plexiglas window. The car shows only 79000 miles on the working odometer. This car runs great, starts quickly and shifts nicely. This car is a very original car. The paint shows/shines very well, the four tires are mounted on the original “rostyle”wheels with about 75% tread still left. The interior is original and in GREAT shape. The original AM/FM radio with cassette player is still in the car and it works very well. This late MGB has wind up windows, no power windows or locks- they were not available. THIS CAR HAS ALWAYS BEEN GARAGED, has been adult owned by two brothers and was never used in the winter or bad weather. This car was rust proofed when new and we have the original window sticker and maintenance receipts going back to its first oil change! I drove this car from Erie to Pittsburgh and had this car up to about 70 MPH for the entire trip. It rode very well, the brakes work very well and the steering has no shake or rattles. We have just had the car Pa. inspected and changed the engine oil and oil filter. The car runs very well, shifts nicely and brakes very well. We have found no rust on this car. The spare tire, jack and jacking tools are still with the car. All of the lights work, all of the gauges work, the glass is in great shape and the paint shines very nicely. We just detailed the car, installed new sun visors, new fuel tank sending unit, new air filter, new trunk emblem and new MG wheel hub caps. Just inspected through July 2013- the car needs nothing but a new driver! We have tried to describe this car as accurately as possible; although this car is now 32 years old, THIS CAR CAN BE DRIVEN ANYWHERE. If you fly into Pittsburgh we can pick you up at the airport and you can drive this car home. If you come out to see this MGB we can put the car up on our lift for you so you can view the car from underneath. All shipping arrangements and expenses will be paid by the buyer. The car will not be shipped until all funds clear our bank. We can offer this car at such a reasonable price because we are a very small, Pennsylvania licensed, used car dealership.
