1998 Genesis 2055

I have a 20 foot 1998 Genesis for sale open bow ... I purchased this from Craigslist. I have owned it going on three yrs I have used it every summer for all three yrs but here is the story about this boat.... I was told by the previous owner the boat has been re-powered which he told me he changed the engine from another boat he had which was a bayline.... what it is about boat it has a Bayliner title ... it was brought to my attention by a fellow boater(who was admiring my boat whom I had to tow in off the lake because his old fishing boat had broken down) at the dock, that the vin looked tampered with (email me I can explain) the boat runs very well, you can still use it at your own risk ... Honestly I do not know what year the boat is the title (bayliner title) says 1998 the previous owner also said it was a 1998 I also am not sure about the hours on the new engine... it has a rebuilt 5.7 liter mercruiser with alpha 1 outdrive, has a nice detachable face pioneer with animated graphics also has a fish and depth finder, it has very nice interior, the floors are solid, bought new prop last year. sticker still good till 2013 once again you can use this boat as it is at your own risk ... or you can use it for a parts boat PLASE ASK ANY QUESTION BEFORE PLACING ANY BIDS!!!!! I was told by the previous owner the ski locker cover was damanage and was replace with plywood and orginal carpeting as can been seen in pics... the trailer tires are very weathered although they do hold air I have two nice tires that come with the boat but they will need mounted up. On Jul-03-12 at 08:52:16 PDT, seller added the following information: hello i have questions a bout the vin and title as i stated the boat is a genesis BUT the title is a bayliner the number on the hull DOES match the title BUT when he REDID the numbers on the hull he DIDNT do a good job of it. AGAIN I BROUGHT IT THIS WAY FROM CRAIGS LIST 3 YRS AGO the previous owner told me he did this because he repowerd it from a 4.3 v6 to the 5.7 350 v8 from the bayliner IF this boat was not this way i would NEVER sell it because i love it. pulls skis and tubs like there not even back there. it runs and drives and rides VERY well . THE TRUTH IS THAT IM A FRED THAT if i contin you to use the boat that IF a coast guard would see that the vin is NOT perfect that they MIGHT try and convonsgat it or in pound it BUT then again i dont know what would happen. IF I KNEW NOW WHAT I DIDNT NO THEN I WOULD NEVER BROUGHT IT sorry for the long story BUT im just telling the truth any more questions just e-mail me thanks 4 looking mll6brn
