This might be the cleanest 250R that has been on the auction block in several years. There are getting to be fewer and fewer of these left in the world in this kind of shape. I bought this from the original owner 2 years ago, and you can see from the pictures it has been taken very good care of by both of us. The top end and clutch has less than 4 hours on it. It will start in 3-4 kicks cold, and hot it will start first kick 90% of the time. Once in a while it takes two kicks to start it hot. The plastics are all original except the front fender. Front and rear brakes work great. Lights work. Seat still has original cover with no holes or tears. Lots of chrome including fatty pipe, muffler, sissy bar, foot pegs, shifter, brake pedal. Tires are in good shape with no rot or leaks. Shocks work great with no leaks. Transmission shifts through all 6 gears flawlessly. I installed 3" axle spacers on the rear when I got it to make it more stable. I think it handles better with them. I think you get the picture that this one is nearly perfect. If you are bidding on this, chances are you have ridden one of these before. The 250R is not for the novice or the faint of heart, it is VERY fast, and will leave the ground quickly if you're not careful. Please ask any questions prior to bidding, I don't want anyone to be disappointed. This is for local pickup only. You can send a shipper after it, but I will not haul it one inch, so don't even ask. I will not crate it either. I require payment in 7 days, whether it be cash in person, POSTAL money order, or paypal. If you cannot pay for it in one week, do NOT bid. If it has been paid for I will keep it here under lock and key indefinitely until you can make arrangements to pick it up. I hate to sell this thing, because it is truly a thrill to ride, but I've got another toy in mind now so something has to go.
