i was given this truck by my father 20 years ago and i have tried to keep the truck running but the wiring just got so bad it has not been cranked in the past 4-5 years i had always started it and drove it down the road and back every year for a long time , the wire got so bad that the points went bad and it stoped cranking. it is not locked up and u can still change gears i love the truck and dont want it to just set there any more my dad past away back in march and i would love for some one to get the truck and fix it up, i havent worked in last 2 years due to beening down in my back dont see it getting better anytime , and i dont see me ever getting it restored i would love too cause it was my dads but im poor and dont have the money breaks my heart to see the truck go down hill like it is and i want to sell it the motor is or was in real good shape and has lots of power , depending on where u live if u buy it i might meet u part ways for delivery , at price to be talked about between me and the buyer. or can be picked up at 35543, in bear creek alabama.will get it out of the shed and get cleaned out in next couple of days and try to get alot of pics on here for u to see nice truck but need restored .please call if interested 205-269-9015On Jun-18-12 at 11:45:28 PDT, seller added the following information: sorry about the junk in the bed of the truck it does not go with it unless u just want it haha this was a spare of the min listing i have had a lot of e-mails and call about this the truck is in overall real good shape for the age of the truck and has been in a shed for the last 25 year but has not ran in the the 5 years i had always got the truck out every yeaer and try to drive it for about week or two and do what need to be done on it in hope of maybe starting to restore it but something allways came up and had to put it back in shed for another year than the last time i had it out and drove it. the points went out on it the wiring was just to back for the truck to keep cranking so i part it again it need the wiring redone , but the truck drove real good and i really hate to get rid if it but cant stand to see the truck just set and rust apart a guy wanted to stop ad look at it and my dad told him he could go and look at it, well he did and jurked up on the hood the hinges are rusty and the guy just about pulled the hood off the hinges and left never call or came back by, no one looks at it now usless im here to show it to them please call me and or e-mail me and i will get back in touch with u i will help with the delivery for a amount to be talk about between me and the winner, depending on the miles u are at and the price for delivery. and the delivery and sales be paid before and agreed upon before it will be delivered, anyway look forward to seeing this trudk get restored by some lucky winnner. call me 2053699015 or 2054865045. will be worth your wild to do so On Jun-20-12 at 09:00:07 PDT, seller added the following information: people has been asking what is my reserve well it's lower than $4000 so here it is the reserve is $2500 if the truck dont sell i will ost likly not relist the truck but if it does someone will be getting a real nice truck to restore. so happy bidding and yes i did lower the reserve so someone can get this truck and restore it to what it need to be and than send me a picture of it when restored again thanks for all the e-mails and calls on this truck and happy bidding.On Jun-24-12 at 10:06:04 PDT, seller added the following information: Well i had to relist the item due to the buyer not contacting me nor paying the deposit within the 48 hrs giving, now im having the sale ended and relisted the item. please i dont have time to play games on this if u want a real good truck to restore please call me about this truck. since the auction ended i've have 3 people wanting it so i relisted it and also have it for sale here at home, have 2 guys coming monday and tuesday to look at the truck. i am going to lower the buy now to same price that i've got it here at home first 1 to pay is the 1 that gets the truck. if the guys buys it i will end the auction. and it will not be relisted. call me for more info. or if u have a offer please call me for that. 205-269-9015. On Jun-24-12 at 16:25:50 PDT, seller added the following information: had guy come look at truck, told me he would give me $2500 tuesday. so if bid is not above that come tuesday and he comes back the auction will end. and truck qwill be sold . also have aguy coming monday and another tuesday so i dont think it will last til than. .On Jun-25-12 at 12:42:33 PDT, seller added the following information: ok i finally got time to clean the truck out and wash it just alittle hope this jives u better pictures of the truck and also in the bed bad 30 years ago when my dad had alittle bit done on the truck they put a new metal bed that look like the old one but it was all metal,( the regular bed is made of wood and is still under the one they put in the last one is real thin and had some rusted holes in it , but I would remove it and the old and put a new oak hardwood floor in it like it had when it came from factory. getting alot of e-mails and calls on this truck this time. have 4 here now coming to look at truck at my house it will sell so if u reall want it u might should use the buy it now cause ocne it hits reserve it will be no buy now and it will end in auction unless someone here pays cash for it and than i will close auction. happy bidding and someone going to get a solid orginal 49 ford if that is what u looking for u will not beat this 1 anywhere. as most people has already converted theirs and changed the motors and everything else but this 1 has what it came with. now find another is this good of shape and let me know what they want.On Jun-25-12 at 17:46:34 PDT, seller added the following information: HOTROD
