Vehicle Detail

You are bidding on a very nice 1973 Dodge Challenger. Just have too many toys, and no time to drive this one. This is an extremelly nice looking Challenger, but not quite a show car. It has been built to drive on the street, but also to take to the drag strip. It is 100% street legal. I bought it last year on a whim, as I loved the way it looked, and more how good it runs. I've had time to get it out only a few times, put aprox. 1000 miles on it, ran it through the quarter mile a couple times, and it runs flawlessly. It is very dependable, doesn't overheat as some do, and never fails to start. I never had it actually timed, but am guessing it is a 12 second car. This is what I know about the car, and was passed on to me by the last owner who built it, and owned it for over 20 years. As you can see, it has 1970 T/A graphics, and 1970 blacked out hood with scoop. It has a nicely built 340 engine, aprox. 400 H.P. It has a new Mopar cam, with .480 lift, and .284 duration. Makes for just a nice sounding lope, but still able to drive around town with no problems, and no overheating. It has a new aluminum radiator. Has a 727 automatic transmission with TCI reverse valve body, and 3200 TCI stall torque converter. Hurst floor shifter. Shifts quick and has no hesitation. New 4.10 posi rear gears. The engine has ported 360 heads, Edelbrock Torker aluminum hi rise intake, with a 700 cfm Holly double pumper on top. Has Mopar performance distributor with MSD box on the inside of the firewall. This engine and transmission are still very tight. No leaks of anything each time I leave it parked in my garage. It also has like new Hooker comp headers, Hooker mufflers, and complete dual exhaust system all the way to the back bumper. There are adjustable shocks up front, and HiJacker air shocks on back. Tires are like new and still 90% tread. 10 inch wide Mickey Thompsons on back, and 8 inch Mickey Thomsons on front. The paint on this car was professionally done several years ago, and still looks very nice. There is no rust on the body, but there are a couple scratches. No dents anywhere. The frame is in excellent condition. It's not coated, so you can see it has never rusted out. The floors and trunk are in excellent shape, and have never been rusted out, and never replaced. The carpet I believe is original. The seats are original and in excellent condition. There is one small rip in the passenger bucket, near the bottom, anout 4 inches long. Otherwise the seats are in great shape. The headliner is also in excellent condition. All glass is in good shape, and all windows roll up and down as they are supposed to. There have been some alterations to this car, but nothing to the body or frame. The gas tank is still being used. (No fuel cell in this car). It can be made back to original very easily. First of all, the heater has been removed. The gauges were replaced by Auto-Meter gauges. The dash was not cut, so they can be removed should you want to reinstall originals. Also, the radio has been removed, and covered with a plate. Again, nothing was cut. The radio is in the trunk. It may or may not work, but it's the original. The antenna is also in the trunk. And, as you can see, the original consol has been replaced by the Hurst shifter. (Don't have the original consol). I've tried to cover all the bases with this car, and describe it exactly how it is. I am not desperate to sell it, but certainly don't need it. I have a very fair reserve on it, am not trying to make any money on it, but just get my investment back. If you like the old Challengers, you will love this one. It gets compliments every time I get it out. And it's a blast to drive. It's not the fastest car in the world, but with this little small block engine built like it is, it will set you back in your seat. Drives very straight, hooks hard. Will make a nice drag car the way it is, or put a little more money in it and have a show car. Car comes with clear Ohio title. I accept cash if picking up in person, or bank cashiers checks, or wire transfers if you are not local. I can have the car shipped anywhere in the United States for a very low rate. Buyer is responsible for all costs. If you are overseas, I can have it shipped to the port of your choice, but you'll be responsible for shipping to your country. I will expect $1,000 down payment within 48 hours of end of auction, and the balance withing seven days. Title will not be released untill full payment is made. Email or call with any questions. I do have a very fair price on this car, but am always open for offers, or interesting trades for other vintage cars or motorcycles. Don't be afraid to make an offer. I have the option to remove the car before the end of the auction should I accept your offer, but I'll need a deposit first. Thank you for looking, and may God bless you all. Call 567-295-9060.
