Vehicle Detail
Hello, sorry to all who were bidding, had a buyer and car was sold, he changed his mind and decided not to go through with the purchase for personal reasons. but i was informed that this car is a very rare deal. im not sure of the exact history on this but on the data plate on the firewall, the acc has a W. this is very very rare and was only stamped at the LA plant and designated as a factory j2. this is a very rare deal and i will post more info as i find it. thanks and as always please contact me for additional info, or a buy it now option Hello everyone, first off let me say this is one super cool car and being a j2 there just hard to find in this kind of shape and price range. The great thing about this one is the price is right and just about impossible to find this solid, so here we go. This car is a legite barn find car and has plates on it from 63, so meaning that the miles are probably very original. She is wearing her original paint, and that in itself is a find these days, still has the original cardboard trim in the trunk. All the important glass is in great shape with only one flat glass side window being cracked. the rest is good. She seems to be very complete and mostly original. As for rust issues there isnt much to talk about. This is truly the best asset when restoring a car as we all know. The trunk floor is in great shape with no holes, even in the spare tire compartment, the interior floors are very nice and solid metal with only a couple pin holes on the drivers side. there is a couple small spots on the exterior but nothing of major concern, the hood and trunk edges are fantastic, door bottoms arent even rusted through. there is a light surface rust here and there on the outside of the car, but thats nothing a DA wont fix. The body on the car does have its share of dents that will need to be addressed, most chrome will need to be plated and cleaned up. and the original automatic was changed out for a three speed stick, i have no idea why someone would have done this, probably due to a tranny problem in the early 60's. good news is there not hard to come by and will be an easy fix. The engine will run im sure as it turns over just fine with a battery connected but i wasnt getting spark, so that will have to be checked out. when i hokked up the battery the courtesy lights came on when you open the door, quite amazing. the original tri power setup was switched out for a single four barrel, but the manifold and aircleaner are included. only the three two barrels are missing. some extra trim pieces are there. extra 371 j2 heads are included etc. please look at the pictures and ask all questions as im sure i forgot some stuff. also i do have a buy it now but am afraid to put it up due to scammers so please email me with a number and we can talk if your serious about the car. this is truly a great start and the lack of rust issues is a huge help. thanks for looking
