The car has been garaged and driven less than 525 miles since the restoration was completed. It has been trailered to many Studebaker Drivers Club International, Zone and State meets always receiving a First Place Award in Division I (Prewar) in Concours judged events Featured on inside front cover of September 2009 "Turning Wheels". The chassis was completely disassembled, all parts sand blasted, primed and repainted. White Post Restorations installed new linings on the brake shoes and stainless steel linings in the master cylinder and wheel cylinders. The gas tank was cleaned and coated inside by Gas Tank Renu. The exhaust system is stainless steel and all gas and brake lines were replaced. The transmission and rear axle were disassembled, cleaned and reassembled with new bearings and seals. The engine was completely rebuilt. Cylinders honed 0.030 inches oversize. New valve guides and cam bearings installed. Head and block milled to true up the mating surfaces. New pistons, rings, connecting rods (with replaceable bearing inserts rather than babbitt bearings), valves, main bearings, cam shaft timing gear, seals and gaskets. Body parts were dip stripped to remove all old paint and rust, primed and painted to match the original color (Studebaker Glazier Park Gray). New safety glass throughout. New wool broadcloth interior and trunk liner by Slick Street Stuff (formerly Phantom Interiors), Knoxville, TN. All chrome parts and polished stainless are in excellent shape. Safety improvements include conversion of headlights to sealed beams, front seat safety belts and turn signals. ase
