1979 Pontiac Trans AM Numbers Matching with Original Build Sheet!!! I have its original Build sheet that was located behind the rear seat area. This build sheet lists all the options the Trans Am was built with from the factory!! The Trans Am is a “Numbers Matching” Trans AM. The VIN Number stamped on the engine matches the VIN number on the dash (see photos of VIN stamped on engine)!!! The Car was built in Van Nuys, California. The Trans Am came with the Oldsmobile (L80) 6.6Liter 403 Engine. The engine runs nice and smooth with good power!! The Engine is Original and has not been modified!! Odometer shows 40,748 miles! I do not know if this is the original mileage on the Trans Am. It is possible to be the original miles the engine does not appear to have been worked on other than minor tune ups. The transmission is the (L33) Automatic-Turbo Hydromatic 350. The transmission is also original! I could not locate the VIN number on the transmission but there is casting dates on the transmission that matches the year the car was built! The transmission shifts smoothly and has no problems! The engine has all the California emissions equipment intact and easily passed the Smog Check with no problems!!! The Trans AM has a Clear “California Title” in my name and Registration is current! I am the third owner. The car has a very nice and Shiny Black Paint job with nice Decals!!!!! The Trans AM was painted approx. three years ago. The body is very straight and free from dents and rust. There is one approx. 2’’ scratch located on the rear bottom part of the rear bumper. There are no major scratches on the Trans Am other than the normal minor road debris scratches. There is no rust located on the floor boards or trunk floor areas! (Has minor surface rust under the trunk lid door). Original 15X7 Inch wheels which have been recently reconditioned/Powder Coated!! All four wheels look like new!! All four Center Wheel Caps are in like new condition!! Front tires are BF Goodrich Radial T/A 225-70-15 and 235-60-15 on the rear. All tires are in very good condition. Original Steering Wheel with functional horn!! Original front and rear seats. Seats do not have any tears and have never been reupholstered! Seats show normal wear for the year of the car. Original Headliner, showing a little wear with no tears! Original Clean door panels with Emblems!! Has New Black carpet!! Original Center Console and Shifter!! Original Dash Board, has a crack in the middle part. Original chrome trimming/moldings! Has all Emblems intact!! All Original Gauges with functional tachometer!! Factory Electric Clock, Works Perfect! Original, Factory Air Conditioning that is functional!! Has factory equipped Power windows!! All windows function!! Factory Power Door Locks! Factory functional Electric Rear Defogger!! All lights are functional!! Wipers are functional! Has Factory Tilt Steering Colum with Cruise Control! Factory glove box courtesy light! Factory power trunk door/lid opener (button located inside glove box, is functional). Original front Power Disc Brakes!! Factory power steering! Factory equipped F41 Rear Stabilizer Bar!! Has upgraded, Pioneer AM/FM CD Player Stereo with two Kenwood 6x9 inch speakers in the rear. Factory equipped (RPO Code-U75) Power Antenna!! (Antenna is not connected due to upgraded stereo installed). Original Rear Differential with Factory Equipped (GU1) 241 gear ratio and Factory (G80) Posi traction Axle!! Has dual exhaust with Super Turbo Mufflers!! Exhaust has a nice throaty aggressive sound! Has New “KYB” Gas Adjust Shocks! This Trans Am runs very nice and strong!! Suspension feels tight and drives very smooth and straight on freeway!! Can be driven daily if desired! Car gets a lot of compliments. Serious bidders only!
