1956 INTERNATIONAL 4x4 1/2 ton PICKUP. FACTORY SERVICE BODY. I purchased this truck from the original local owner with intentions of restoring it with my grandson. He just graduated and now is going to lineman school so our deal will not happen. This truck will need to be totally restored. We had the engine running but it will not start now. The engine does turn over. It has a brand new $100 battery. The brakes do not work. All transmission gears etc appears to be good as it shifts into all gears fine. However, we are not able to drive. The front end and rear end all turns fine with no noises. Other than a very small (8" x 8"] area behind pass door there is zero rust and even that is not bad. We could find no sign of previous body repair. Doors both work well. There are numerous ( maybe 8 ) small dents. Hood is loose and does not latch. Some glass is broken. I purchased this truck from the original owner. They bought the truck for use on their farm. This would make an absolute great little truck restored. The service body has got to be super rare. We have sold our home to my daughter and I have no room at new place to store. however this truck can be left on the property for whatever time you need. I am starting this auction at $1000.00 with no reserve. This is an excellent oppertunity at a pretty rare truck. I do have title in hand.
