This auction is for a nice Volkswagen Passat that needs some engine work. The car belongs to my girlfriend and was run daily up until about 3 months ago. The car runs and drives but when running it makes a howling noise from the engine compartment. It is noisy enough that the really is fit to be on the road. It also doesn't have the power that it should. I believe the Turbo went bad, but I am not sure and do not know if anything else might be wrong with the engine. Other then that the car is in nice shape. The paint and body are very nice with the only real blemish being a paint scuff on the right front fender just below the side marker light. The interior could use a good cleaning but as far as I could see there are no rips or tears in any of the seats. It will need a radio as it had a aftermarket one that she removed. The tires are decent and had just passed Pennsyvania's inspection a month or so before the trouble developed. All and all this is a decent car. What it needs is someone more knowable then us to own it and fix it. It would be perfect for some one who has one that might of been wrecked but still has the parts to be swapped over into this one.
