1962 INTERNATIONAL SCOUT 80 HALF CAB PICK UP IN GREAT ORIGINAL CONDITION. VERY ORIGINAL and unique Scout 80. If you know Internationals, than you know this is a great deal. This truck is a daily driver and I have focused on the engine and all the mechanical. Its ready for cosmetics now. THE GOOD -original paint -original factory convertible 1/2 cab top -original factory 4 cylinder engine (motor runs well-recent tune) -53,863 original miles -3 speed Manual -2 gas tanks replaced new not too long ago with new lines. needs new switch valve so only one being used -1 inch spacers front and rear -all body trim and grill trim(in great condition and all original) -besides MINOR surface rust.....there is No Rust to deal with.(i.e. cancer)- cab floors are all original. Front floor boards may be the worst of it. Small Penetrating hole doesnt seem to be from rust-see pictures - updated lap/seat belts -dash is intact with original gauges and factory radio plate. Some mild trimming-see picture -All glass is intact -Carburetor just rebuilt. I have the original air oil bath cleaner-left off for picture -new brakes front and rear -spare tire carrier -new hoses and belt -original front seat with small tear starting at seam. See picture. Should be an easy fix -new battery -original inner door panels in great shape -new muffler- -absolutely no bondo or body work anywhere on this truck that I can find THE BAD?(I GUESS) -not much-like I said it's a driver. Fresh paint would make it the perfect truck! I personally like the original patina look. -needs new rubber seals for doors, window felts, new rubber for top glass -front passenger door needs area around door handle repaired-see picture -cab top needs new paint on inside -2nd gas tank needs to be plumbed ***This truck is Perfect for a complete restoration or great as it is. It has all if not most of the original factory nuts and bolts(most with IH logos). Truck runs and drives well. Have pink in my name and current registration and insured. The body is in great shape for the year and being an International Harvester. These good old original un-molested Scouts are getting nearly impossible to find. There are tons of beat up, cut up, rock crawler rust buckets (trust me I own a few) out there but only a hand full of good ones like this.
