Vehicle Detail

Here is a 1928 Model A Ford i purchased last year.it had been sitting outside for about 8 years with a blue tarp over it.the mice raised hell with the interior and it did not run.i installed a rebuilt carb and distributor, new plugs, wires, changed the oil and got it running.it runs nice,no smoke .i removed all 4 wheels and had them sandblasted and painted them with a spray can.new lugnuts and center caps.i replaced the front and rear bumpers (used but nice).the hood was pitted badly so i purchased a real nice used one and painted the outside of it as the pictures show.the headlights were also in poor condition and i had a nice pair of 30/31 buckets which i installed.i repacked the front wheel bearings and topped off all the fluids.i also purchased a used Stewart Warner horn that works good. the brakes work very well including the e-brake.it was painted a butt ugly blue so i bought some black paint and sprayed the body only in my back yard.it looks good from 20 feet away but the old paint should of been removed.the fenders and splash aprons still need work before paint.the radiator is real nice with no leaks and it does not over heat, the clutch feels good and does not slip. the ampmeter works.all of the exterior lights work including the brake light .thats the good.the bad,the tires are very well worn and should be replaced.the roof is starting to lift in the back.i don't leave it outside but i am sure it would leak in a rain storm. some of the roof wood is cracked on the inside i think due to snow after sitting outside for years.the rear main seal leaks pretty good as all model a's do.i have put about 100 miles on it and it used 2 quarts of oil.the odmeter and speedo work but it don't seem to register over 25 mph.it needs an interior.i have a clear Mass. title in my name.the numbers on the title match the motor.i ran the numbers on the motor and it comes up as a January 1929 but the title says its a 1928.the body might have been made around the christmas and it didn't get a motor until after the holidays?? i don't know?. its currently registered and can be taken for a ride.no test pilots please.no warranties with this car.it is 84 years old and i have only owned it for a year.it needs a complete restoration in my opinion or hotrod.cash at pick up is best.a $500.00 nonrefundable deposit is required at auction end and full payment is expected within 4 days per e-bay.i will accept a bank certified check but as everyone knows it will take at least 7 days to clear into my bank and the car will stay until such time.i am about 20 miles north of Boston so if you want a shipping quote please check on line.i have never shipped a car before but will meet your shipper when you make the arrangements.sorry i don't have time to get quotes.the first series of pictures show the car when i got it and the rest show it in its present condition.Thanks.
