2001 Ford Escape SUV. 134k miles, automatic, V6, very clean inside and out, no smells, non-smoker car, low miles. Starts, runs and drives but will need an alternator. It runs rough at idle and sometimes stops running but starts up every time. My mechanic installed a brand new battery this week and then tested the alternator and found that it is not putting out any current at all. The transmission shifts great. Heater/ac fan works on highest setting only and AC isn't cold but all the windows/locks work, liftgate, etc. All door handles work except exterior passenger side. I do not know anything else about the truck history, as I got it as a trade, but it is clean inside and out. Will need a hood for the exterior to be in excellent cosmetic shape. Once again, it starts, runs and drives but will not go far because of the needed alternator. For the right person willing to replace the needed parts (found here on ebay: hood for $150, door handle $25, alternator $150), this truck could be a real bargain.
