1980 SCOUT TRAVELER “MIDAS” PACKAGE” Here’s your chance to own a neat 1980 Scout Traveler loaded with factory options. This is the last year they made them. This rig was loaded!!! First the truck was ordered with a 345 Four Barrel V8, Automatic Transmission, Factory Air Conditioning, Power Steering, Power Brakes, Tilt Wheel, Turbine Wheels, Cruise Control, 33 Gallon Tank, Sliding Rear Windows and Deluxe Interior, and a Warn Winch bumper. (I have a Warn 8274 Winch in mint shape that I will sell with the truck for an additional $750 over the ending price. See picture. Bracket in picture NOT included, it will bolt straight on the bumper.) The truck has original books, manuals and warranty cards still in the glove box. The truck is totally original down to the paint and interior. The body is very straight with a few minor dings here and there. The doors shut solid. There are zero cracks in the dash or glass. The truck has a few rust issues, but it’s no rust bucket. The rockers have some light rust down the sides, there’s a few areas in front of the windshield, and at the rear of the bed. ( I have already got the replacement original sheet metal for this, which is included.) The original floors and body mounts are in good shape. The truck has been stored for many years and is not running. The past owner said it was running good four years ago when parked. The engine is cranking over and sounds fine, there is spark to the plugs but I think the carb is clogged up. I will winch the Scout onto a truck or trailer FREE for you. Or...tow it FREE within San Antonio to a mechanic of your choice. I also am willing to pull the carb. and deliver it down to Lone Star Carburetor for you. They charge about $150 to rebuild a four barrel. She’s worth bring back to life. Please call with your questions before bidding.
