Up for auction is our 2006 smart car fortwo model 450.This is an European model with the .7 liter(700 cc) Mercedes engine.It was imported and upgraded to US specs by G&K Auto Conversion of Santa Ana CA.We purchased the car with about 12000 miles a little over three years ago.It starts and runs well.Unfortunatly the car has an issue with the SAM unit(fuse panel).After doing some research this problem appears common to this model.There are a number of forums related to the issue.The problem is there is corrosion in a portion of the SAM unit(fuse panel).This causes the flashers,front/rear windshield wipers to ocassionally operate without being turned on.Other curcuits could be affected in the future.The right power window will not operate.The radio/cd player needs code installed.The right seat is stained(see picture).A new red top Optima battery was recently installed.A new set of black carpet smart floor mats are included(not shown).Interested bidders are welcome to make an appointment to inspect the car.BEFORE BIDDING ASK QUESTIONS SO THAT THERE IS A CLEAR UNDERSTANDING OF THE CONDITION OF THE CAR.ALSO RESEARCH THE TRANSPORTATION COST OF THE CAR.For more info respond to ad or call 980-581-0344.THE AUCTION IS ONLY OPEN TO REGISTERED BIDDERS OF THE USA.
