Ultra Rare, 1985 Buick Park Avenue with an Oldsmobile Diesel V6 All GM Oldsmobile Diesel people, this car is for you, you are the ones who should get this car!! This car needs to go to the hands of someone who knows these cars, and no one but. You won't find many of these around anymore, very few of these were built back in 85, GM put this engine in the front drive full size cars for this year only. Buick, Oldsmobile and Cadillac were the only divisions to get them in these cars. The car gets in the mid 20's for MPG in the city and mid 30's to low 40's depending how the car was driven. This car has had the transmission rebuilt 50,000 miles ago and the engine was gone through at that time also with new head gaskets. The engine doesn't burn or leak oil at all. The AC compressor still works, it just needs a recharge, it has not been converted to 134a. There has been a secondary oil filter added along with a Racor fuel/water separator for the fuel system. It has power windows, door locks, seats, antenna, trunk release, all working. The delay wipers work along with the cruise control. The cloth interior is in very good condition and very comfortable. The right right tail light has a crack in it, the drivers fender has a long dent and the left front corner lens is cracked. The car has a few minor rust issues at some of the door corners, otherwise the car is in very good shape for its age. I was going to find a Park Ave closer to 1990 and swap out the engine on its frame with the struts, tranny and anything else that comes with it, into the newer body. This way you could have the electronic climate control and composite headlights and no rust if you can find a good donor car. For the GM Diesel Guys out there, this car is a gem and could be better in the newer body. If I had the space to keep this car, I would never let it go and really don't want to sell but, I am being pushed to do this so it has to go. There are no issues with the engine, it runs like a top and starts every time.
