Up for bids is my wonderful 1979 Ford Thunderbird. This is a base model that is in fantastic shape for it's age. The only "luxury" features it has are power steering and power brakes. It is equipped with a very tight and nice running 302 topped by a 2 barrel carb with less than 56,000 miles on it. The 3 speed automatic transmission shifts perfectly. I cannot stress enough how well this car drives, it floats down the highway. All the lights work and all lenses are intact. The hide-a-way headlights function perfectly. It has front disc brakes and rear drums that work as they should. The original owner had extensive undercoating put on the car and there are only a couple of surface rust spots on it (see photos). The underside is clean, this car is ready to roll! In the past year I have replaced the following: >New Holley Economaster Carburetor (factory carb included in sale) >All belts & hoses under the hood >Spark plugs, distributor cap & plug wires >Thermostat & gasket >Valve cover gaskets >4 new Bridgestone 60,000 mile radials (it had 3 factory tires on it when I brought it home!) >New tail pipe. >New AM/FM radio (original AM radio included in sale) >All new heavy duty rubber floor mats. I am the 3rd owner of this great car and it is ready to become whatever you'd like it to be: Great daily driver as is, custom retrorod, perfect candidate for restoration, ratrod, low rider, donk or whatever you decide. The cool factor of this ride is amazing! If you are asking why am I selling it then, the answer is simple, I found an even better 1978 Mercury Cougar (as seen in some of the pix, same body style) that I am keeping. Attention watchers: Should the T-Bird not sell this time around, it will not be relisted. I'll keep it and restromod it. If you are truly interested, bid because it will not be listed on Ebay again.
