1980 SCOUT TRAVELER “MIDAS” PACKAGE” Here’s your chance to own a neat 1980 Scout Traveler with a rare Midas Package Option. This rig was loaded!!! First the truck was ordered with a 345 Four Barrel V8, Automatic Transmission, Factory Air Conditioning, Power Steering, Power Brakes, Tilt Wheel, Turbine Wheels, Cruise Control, Sliding Rear Windows and Deluxe Interior, and a Warn Winch bumper. The truck has original books, manuals and warranty cards still in the glove box. The truck is totally original down to the paint and interior. The body is very straight with a few minor dings here and there. The doors shut solid. There are zero cracks in the dash. The truck has a few rust issues, but it’s no rust bucket. The rockers have some light rust peppering, there’s a few areas in front of the windshield, and at the rear bed floor there is an area. ( I have already got the replacement original sheet metal for this, which is included.) The forward original floors and body mounts are in good shape. The truck has been stored for many years but it will drive onto a truck or trailer. But the carb. And fuel system should be serviced, brakes etc. She’s worth saving!!! THERE'S SPARK AT THE PLUGS, BUT I THINK THE CARB. IS TOO GUMMED UP FROM SITTING. I'M NOT A VERY GOOD MECHANIC. IF INTERESTED I WILL HAVE IT TOWED FREE WITHIN SAN ANTONIO TO A MECHANIC OF YOUR CHOICE.
