2001 Ford Escape SUV. 134k miles, automatic, V6. Starts, runs and drives but does need an alternator. It runs rough and sometimes stops running at idle but when driving down the road it runs well and it starts up every time. The transmission shifts great. AC does not work but all the windows/locks do. My mechanic installed a brand new battery this week and then tested the alternator and found that it is not putting out any current at all. I do not know anything else about the truck history, but it is clean inside and out. Will need a hood for the exterior to be in good shape. Once again, it starts, runs and drives but will not go far because of a bad alternator. For the right person willing to replace the needed parts (found here on ebay), this truck could be a real bargain.
