1969 Manx Style Dune Buggy A great example of a 60's style build. From the over sized 50 seires radial T/A tires to the had fabricated fiberglass top this buggy just looks cool! The chassis is a ‘64 per the factory vin- 5906069. It has a Arizona rust free pan and probably the original drivetrain with single port motor and non-synchromesh 1st gear as well as original 6 volt electrical system. Head lights, tail lights, windshield wipers and horn work. Has emergency flashers but turn signals are not hooked up- but has stock VW turns signal switch mounted. Motor has brand new carb, stinger exhaust and a bunch of chrome accent pieces. Arizona titled as a 1969 special construction which is probably when the buggy was built and first titled. Period wheels and polyglass tires look great but the tires are likely as old as the build and will need to be replaced even though they have plenty of tread left. Brakes work fine and have new hoses at all four corners. Paint is in great condition and fiberglass is good with no major damage but there is some stress cracking on the hood. Nice build with full upholstery including the the side panels. Front seat covers both have separation at the seams and will need to be replaced or repaired. Has speedometer but it is not working- probably a cable. Mileage is unknown. All in all a great looking and driving buggy.
