If you are in the market for an Intermeccanica Roadster that captures the look and feel of the original 1959 Porsche 356A Convertible D, demand only top quality materials and “THE” color combination to own – look no further. I am offering for sale this beautifully maintained Roadster, VIN: IM12363 (eBay wants 17-digit VIN numbers so the listing shows 17 zeros). The car is Black with Black top, Pecan full leather interior, and Oatmeal square weave carpet. In the past year (2011), this Roadster has been upgraded with a NEW performance 2275cc crate engine and four-speed “Super Street PLUS” transmission with the taller 4th gear. I have also made several performance oriented suspension upgrades, though the car retains a very comfortable ride quality. I purchased the car in June of 2010 for my asking price of $32.5k and have invested an additional $10k in substantial upgrades. Currently licensed in Texas, this Roadster also is of particular interest to California residents as it carries a full lifetime emissions exemption under the SB100 regulations where it was registered originally as a 1959 SPCN Porsche Conv D (sticker still in place as in photo attached). As shown in the photos, the original top and mated rubber seals are showing some age so I am including a NEW full top and materials (just paid $800) ordered from the original Intermeccanica supplier that will need to be installed. There is one very small, dime sized flaw in the fiberglass that I have photographed and enhanced to show more detail than you would normally notice. Otherwise, this is a 10-year old used car, lovingly cared for, always garaged, with just enough “patina” to make it as comfortable as a worn-in glove to drive and show. I have entered two car shows this season, winning “Best in Class” in the 1950-59 car class, and “1st Place” in Import class, respectively. NOTE ADDED 5/9 - Though I am happy to sell worldwide, I have just found from a prospective buyer that the car CAN NOT be registered in Canada! Though the car was built originally in Vancouver, it was exported to and originally licensed in the United States and Canadian law will not allow it to be brought back in and licensed in Canada (a special construction vehicle less than 15 years old).
