For sale is my very original TR6. Here's the low-down: This car has original and working:- Paint- Hardtop- BL Radio- Overdrive- Lucas Headlights- Hoses- Michelin Tires- Interior all original The car runs very well, drives very well, stops very well - all as it should. Starts instantly. Oil pressure at operating temperature: Above 2,500 RPM solid 75+ lbs, at Idle - 25-30 lbs. Does not overheat. Shifts smoothly, clutch operates smoothly, steering tight. There is no rust on this car, you will see in the photos that the floors are solid, the spare wheel well is solid, the car is clean and it's clear it has been well taken care of. Paint: The paint on this car is in excellent condition for being 36 years old. It shines very nicely, the car does have marks and small dents from use, it is not perfect as in a new paint job, but I would take this quality original over new any day. You can paint any old car, you cannot re-create an original finish. Please expect small scratches, door dings and some touch-ups. The hardtop is in great shape, but I do not have the attaching hardware. The softtop is original, in good shape, no tears/rips. Interior: The interior is all original and very nice. The dash is nice, all gauges function properly, the seats are without tears with the exception of the driver seat shown in the photo. Electrics: All electrical items function as they should. Original AM/FM radio works properly. Overall, this is a very nice car. It is not showroom new, after all it has 65K and 36 years on it and it has been enjoyed. HOWEVER, it is exceedingly difficult to find a car that is this solid that has not been painted, re-upholstered, modified, or otherwise changed. They are only original once, and that is what you have here. I have always valued originality over restoration, it is clear the market has seen that as well, and I think this car is set to appreciate over time. I am selling because I have decided to focus on my MG and Series Land Rover collection, and the TR6 doesn't fit in. I am sure I'll regret selling it at some point, but there's only so much time. I would not hesitate to drive this car anywhere on a moments notice - with two exceptions: 1) The tires are in good shape, but I wouldn't trust them on a cross country trip for safety reasons, 2) The hoses look to me to be factory original - carry a spare set and coolant.
