Vehicle Detail

This car is a true 1970 442 Holiday Coupe. This was a mid-year production car, built in the 2nd week of March 1970 in the Lansing Michigan Plant. Under the hood sits the original, numbers matching 455 365 Hp engine with correct "E" Code cylinder heads. The engine is mated to an M21 4 speed with original 442 Hurst Shifter. The rear axle is the standard 3.42:1 anti-spin differential. The suspension is the heavy duty package with front and rear stabilizers. The car has power steering with manual 4 wheel drum brakes. The car is in the original Code 28 Twilight Blue color with Code A white vinyl top. The interior is the original white bucket interior. The front end is tight, and the car tracks straight and true down the road with no steering issues. The wheels are the original SS1s in black with period correct Firestone white lettered belted tires in good condition. There is an identical spare in the trunk. Everything on the car works except the clock. The car is in overall good condition but it does have some flaws. I will describe them the best that I can, but the car is being sold "as-is." There is some rust on the outside lower driver door, which is shown in a photo. It also has the typical rust on the trunk lid bottom moulding, shown in a photo. All body panels are solid and straight. The floor pans look original from the underside. I have not found any repair spots from within the trunk. The underside is original and should be cleaned and detailed. The frame has some surface rust primarily from mid-car back.. The paint is in good condition, but it is not perfect. The white vinyl top is in good condition. The interior is all original and is in good condition. All of the upholstery is in good condition, with no rips or tears. The dash is in good condition with no cracking. However, a prior owner installed an aftermarket radio and removed a small section of the woodgrain panel right at the radio cutout. I reinstalled an original 1970 Olds AM Radio. See photo. This car is priced to sell. It does not belong in the bottom category with parts cars or cars that do not run or need a lot of expensive work. Nor is it a high dollar restored car that almost no one can afford and seldom actually sell. This is a fine driver car that can really be bought and driven by a regular enthusiast like myself. The car has the following options: Power Steering Heavy Duty suspension Anti-spin differential Oldsmobile AM Radio Rally Pac Instrument Cluster (clock does not work) White Vinyl Top Console SS1 Wheels with trim rings Dual Sport Mirrors Sport Steering Wheel Interior convenience lighting Interior Hood Lock I have tried to represent the car properly. However, as always, any interested bidder should conduct his/her own inspection prior to bidding. My name is John and I can be contacted at (856) 912-5445.
