Hello and Thank You for viewing my auction. I had plans to restore this car and give it a new paintjob and a new top and make it perfect but it does not appear I will ever find the time so I have priced it to sell quickly with a NO RESERVE auction.. Many articles about this vehicle and they are calling it the next 1953 buick skylark convertible because of its rarity and it being a hand built 2 seater convertible. These cars sold for close to $40,000 new and became collectors from the day they hit the showroom floor. Only "all american" handbuilt 2 seater convertible ever made. The corvette was not hand built. The Allante was built inconjuction with Italy. A nicely sorted " driver" condition convertible is selling for anywhere from $10,000 to $18,000 today and a "show" car example is fetching close to $30,000 today. The convertibles were built in 1990 and 1991 only and a total of a little over 2000 cars were manufactured. You are bidding on a 1990 Buick Reatta with 155,800 miles that runs and drives great. The reatta uses what is considered by many as one of the top 5 american made engines built..the 3.8 otherwise known as the 3800. These engines are easy to work on and get great fuel mileage(27mpg and better) and easy to find parts for as this engine was used in many gm vehicles. I have installed in the last 6 months a new brake accumulator ball,a new belt tensioner and a new harmonic balancer. This is NOT a show car it is a great daily driver that you can enjoy with the top down or restore it and make it a show car. The car has the best color combination of red with tan interior. The car is over 20 years old with imperfections on the exterior and interior as you can see in the photo's. The convertible top will keep the weather out but it does have a couple small tears in it. The interior is very nice as you can see from the pics. There are no cracks in the dashboard which is rare to find for these cars. The driver door panel has a couple of imperfections but I am including 2 door panels(driver and passenger) that are in great condition that I had purchased for $400.00 when I was planning on restoring the car(they are in the trunk). Tires are used but still have good tread on them. The headlights,turn signals,wipers,power windows,seats,radio,digital dash and all gauges all work fine. The power door lock does not work and you have to lock the doors manually with the knob inside or with the key(I have not checked fuses or circuit breakers). Radio works but the speakers are old and sound like the 22 year old speakers they are. . The power top is manual and goes up and down quickly by releasing the 2 front locks and pulling the 3 levers behind the seats and it folds down nicely.and conceals itself under the body panel so you can't see the top. Has all 4 matching original reatta wheels and center caps. There is no smoke or funny noises from the engine. The engine is dry with no leaks(you can see the photo of underneath the engine). The underneath still shows its red paint the way it left the factory with no undercoating. I had planned on undercoating it to preserve the undercarriage longer when I was going to restore it but never got around to doing it. The a/c does not turn on which never bothered me as I only drive it with the top down anyway. International bidding is welcomed. . Fly in and drive home or have it transported. This is a great everyday vehicle as it stands that you can enjoy and never have to worry about depreciation as Reatta Convertibles are climbing in value quickly every year! A new convertible top is around $300.00 on ebay and there are instructions online for an easy installation if you decide to put a new top and there are many Reatta enthusiast forums out there. This car still turns heads where ever it goes and with its "timeless" design many people think its a few years old! The BUY IT NOW of $3999.99 dissapeared after the first bid was made and is no longer available. Also I have another detail I need to add. The trunk does not open with the key. However does open with the electronic push button in the glove box. The factory keyless remote for your key chain is included but it does not work and I have never checked the battery so I can not confirm if the remote is good or not.
