1993 Mazda Miata Roadster Up for auction is my 1993 Mazda Miata Convertible. These cars are RARE as it is, but with it being an Automatic it is even more rare. I bought this car for the excellent gas mileage so that I can commute to and from work. I have recently gotten a new job that is closer so I no longer need my commuter car. I am also getting married in a few weeks and the fiancee that it has to go!!! This is a beautiful little car, it has treated me really well. I have not owned this car long. The 2nd owner of this car was a woman in her 60's who is one of those "hot grandma" types. She had a Miata when they first came out in the early 90's that was white with Dark Blue racing stripes. When she bought this car it was BLUE and she had it painted White with Dark Blue racing stripes so it would be like her first Miata.  This Car is fun to drive, it gets excellent gas mileage. (It cost only about $30 to fill it up) This car is also a head turner. No, It is not in perfect condition, but for a 1993 I would say it looks pretty great!  I am going to try to be as detailed as possible when telling about this car. I do not like surprises and I do not want you to have any surprises. If I DO NOT cover something, please feel free to ASK. The car is in GOOD running condition. I left the door open the other night and the battery went dead, but I recharged it and It is working Properly.  The engine is very clean and needs nothing. The Coolant Overflow reservoir has cracked over the years ,but it is still in working condition. It does appear to have a small oil leak however I have not had to put any oil in it between changes, so it is nothing serious whatsoever. This car does have an Automatic Transmission that shifts and works fine. I have never had any problems or concerns with it.  The only thing that I know of that is wrong with this car is the idle needs to be adjusted. My Haynes manual tells how to do this, I just have not gotten around to doing it. I am going to try to get that done before it sells. It idles too low, therefore on cold starts it needs you to give it a little bit of gas to keep it idling high enough. However since the weather has turned warm, I have not had to keep my foot on the gas any.  In researching this online, I have found this is a common problem in Miata's and it is easily fixed by doing the steps in the Haynes Manuel. This car is a sound running car, everything appears to be in great working condition and I have no problems out of it. The serpentine belt did squeak a little bit, but  I adjusted the tension on it and now it does not squeak. I do drive this car everyday, so it will have a few more miles on it when the auction is over. The exterior of this car is in above average condition for a 1993. Lets face it, most of the 1993 cars on the road has peeling paint, dents, and missing bumpers. This car is in much better shape than that. The paint job looks nice, it looks really nice when it is polished! It is not PERFECT, but if you want perfect go buy a 2012. The cars body is straight with no issues. The front bumper has a small spot on the edge where the paint chipped off from where I hit a small animal, but it is not bad at all and can easily be fixed with a paint touch up pen from Walmart.  Note: THIS CAR HAS BEEN REPAINTED FROM ITS ORIGINAL COLOR. The door jams were painted white with the car, you cannot look at the car and tell it used to be blue, unless you pop the hood. Down in the engine compartment, it is still blue, and in the trunk it is still blue, otherwise, you cannot tell it used to be blue. The top is in decent shape. It could use being replaced. It would not leak at all if the rear window had not come un-stitched. You have two options 1)Have the window re-stitched or 2) Get a new top. The top is cheap (less than 400) and is a EASY DIY project for your garage. This is no big deal. The interior of this car is in average condition. There are no tears, burns, or sign of cigarette smoking in the car. The driver seat is a little worn, but still looks nice. The interior looks nice when clean. The dash has a small crack in it that is almost un-noticeable. I do not foresee it getting any worse as it looks like it has been cracked for a long time. The Carpet is in great condition. The car has been wired and has had a professional install an after market system in it. It has 6 speakers and 4 tweeters in the car, however all of the aftermarket speakers are not hooked up because whoever had it in there took the amp with them. Right now it is just the factory speakers working, but that can be changed really quickly, I just didnt have any interest. This car at one time Has had a lien on it at Titlemax, however, now that lien is satisfied. The title is 100% clean and clear! NO WORRIES! The vehicle accident report shows that the vehicle was once in an accident, I do not know any details about the accident, however this vehicle shows no signs whatsoever of frame damage or anything. The tires all wear evenly and it drives straight. In inspecting the car, I cannot find where the car was in an accident.  This car does not come with any kind of warranty or insurance. This car is used. I cannot guarantee anything about the car. I have in good faith given you the description of this car. I do not want to hoodoo anyone and I have been as honest as possible in this description. This car is a great car, but I can not make any guarantees for tomorrow. On May-06-12 at 10:07:57 PDT, seller added the following information: I just realized that I forgot to mention that if you look at the drivers side tail light, it has a crack with a small piece missing. It was like that when I got it , but since it was not really that noticeable I never had it fixed.
