Vehicle Detail
1979 TR8 Production Coupe. If you are looking at this you should already know that this one actually qualifies for the "rare" you'll see shouted all over the place. If you don't know, you owe it to yourself to go find out a bit more about these cars before searching for one. It's quite an interesting story... I bought the car in Canada, where it was originally awarded as a prize in a photography contest. It is about as nice as you'll see - I'm the third owner and I've changed the tires, the exhaust and fixed the a/c. Other than that I've just driven it and had it serviced. It starts, goes and stops as well as any unmodified car out there. It's rust free - rather than free rust - and I'd drive it pretty much anywhere on paved roads. This is one you actually ~could~ drive home, assuming you can drive a stick-shift. PO fitted headers (I have the manifolds and cats), the Panasports (I have the original wheels, which aren't in great condition), upgraded the alternator and fitted Ted's stainless air vents. He also changed out the carpet - although the rest of the interior is original - and had it resprayed. I have replacement decals somewhere - he never fitted them, and I never got round to it either. I'm selling it because I have a hankering to have an 8 style coupe with "upgrades" and this one's too nice and too original to do that to. I'd rather get hold of a 7 and mod that instead. Inspections are welcome, there are no surprises and nothing to hide. It deserves to go to a sympathetic home... Better quality pictures can be found here: http://tr250v8.com/coupe/
