1949 International KB1. Rare short bed. Original Motor\Trans. GRD214 flathead 6. 4 speed granny transmission. 12 volt conversion. Included (but not installed) Factory Speedo states under 49,000 miles. Mid 70's restore. I have performed the following on this vehicle since I have owned it: 1) Gauge Cluster Restore (not OEM, but I have the original units) 2) 100% new wiring throughout (with fuse box) 3) 100% new fuel system throughout. Includes rebuilt carb, fuel line, filter, fuel tank and sending unit. 4) 100% new brake system. Includes all new brake lines, hoses, master cylinder, wheel cylinders, and shoes. Drums were turned. Front are OEM brakes, rear end is from a 1988 Ford Ranger (3.73). Much better braking, much better gearing than OEM 5.13. 5) Windshield frame has been restored and a new gasket installed. The windshield crank mechanism is 100% operational. 6) New seat from a third row Dodge Mini Van. 7) Battery. 8) Professionally, custom made driveshaft and u-joints, balanced. Everything on this truck works with the exception of the factory (missing) horn button. Even the wipers work. I have installed the following new resto parts (with fully cataloged sources): All Door Rubber (and related parts) Floormat Headliner Kick Panels Door Window Whiskers Window Channel Felt (no rattle kit) Hood to Cowl Seal Rear Window Rubber Gasket Windshield Gasket Side windows wind up and down with no effort. (There is NO broken glass) Doors open and close and latch with no sag. All difficult processes of the restoration have been performed. Paint is fresh. The bed is extremely solid and will be Rhino Lined in the near future. This vehicle starts, runs and stops just like she did in 1949. She is a farm truck with all the characteristics of a vehicle of this era. It may be driven home. Tires are 100% but show stress cracks. She is a driver and can be taken out and enjoyed with no worries about damage, etc. She is cold blooded but warms up just nicely. If you are unfamiliar with these qualities of this era automobile it is best you keep looking for a computerized truck! It is these qualities that give her the simple charm any vintage auto enthusiast desires. All extra or OEM parts that I have from this truck go with the sale with the excpetion of OEM grille pieces and the front bumper which dont exist. LOW reserve auction.
