A genuine barn find - totally a great restorable project truck. This 1974 SR 27 Toyota Hilux pickup has spent a while waiting for you, After retirement it has been protected from the elements in a farmers barn. As you can see it has probably lived a life as a farmer's faithful servant and has the superficial battle scars. To attest to an active working relationship with its former owner.The rubber door & window seals are disentergrating and will need replaced eventualy. There are widely spread bumps and bruises & light surface rusting all over. The small hole in the bottom of the front passenger fender is the only place I see rusted through. It is missing the drivers door panel the seats need new covers, Also missing the drivers door mirror, and a couple marker lights. The horn panel is warped almost beyond reuse, but in the cab, the jack and lug wrench are still behind the seat. The motor cranks & runs albeit a little rough. The 18RC motor is sound - no missing, knocks, rattles, or smoking. The carb is rough from time spent sitting, it has been getting better is we run it more. The automatic tranny engages smoothly pulls strong and shifts correctly thru its gears, it needs a new filter and oil change I would imagine. The brakes work altho they need servicing before being road worthy as they grab when applied but it WILL stop. It is fitted with power steering and it has the complete factory [ non working ] ac components in place.on. This could make a cool knock around ride with a good tune up and break service, - or is a solid platform for a full restoration. It MAY be just what you have been waiting for. Thanks for looking.
