Vehicle Detail
1969 Torino Cobra Fastback LOWER RESERVE / BID IT TO WIN IT Originally DSO for Arizona / Marti Report 428 CJ Q code / C6 / 9" 31 spline rear shows 64k on the odometer / been parked most of the last 25 yrs. Barn Find of sorts. Seriously if someone spent a couple of g's redoing the front seats, carpet, fix the exhaust leak at the manifold, clean out fully or replace the gas tank, and some new tires, you would have a $18k+ value true Big Block #s matching piece of history you could drive to the local car shows and have fun getting there ! Built in the latter part of 1968 this car was on the doorstep of Ford famous to come 428CJ Big block R & Q code cars !! Matching #s motor and transmission / Bucket seats / ps / pdb This car does start runs and drive and sounds pretty mean.(although does have an exhaust leak by dr side manifold) I do know the carb and distributer are not original, and its missing the stock air cleaner. Gas tank really needs to be cleaned out properly. I have it running off a small gas container under the hood for now. Brakes are fine, but the power booster is bad. All the glass is good and the sheetmetal is all Ford. As is the interior. We could find no rust to speak of on the floors or trunk, a true survivor. Being an AZ car, even better :) With NASCAR and Drag Racing heritage, these cars are one of the most collectable Ford Muscle Cars you can buy. Tires are baked and old too. So it alot of the rubber of course and some of the plastics due to the dry AZ heat. I WONT END THE AUCTION EARLY SO DONT ASK Restored back to original someday would be the way to go with this beast. This car has had one paint job the best I can tell about 30 yrs ago. Factory like color as you can see, and its really not all that bad still. Its possible it would come back with a good buffing. There are some chips and a few dents on the body, but hard to see with the dk color. NO RUST. If it doesnt meet reserve, email me. Either way it would be a great car to restore one way or another. There you have it, probably The BEST represented Torinos on Ebay. Shows you all the good as well as any bad. If you treat yourself to buying one of our cars, youll never buy a bucket again from anyone !! Our Impeccable FEEDBACK speaks for itself. Doing restoration on this type of project is less labor intensive which means overall cost is less too ! With less horrid surprises later on. Dont let auctions with little to no pics try to fool you. CAR MUST BE PICKED UP WITHIN 15 days of auctions END ! we can no longer store cars for anyone !! Unless other arrangements have been made before auction ends. Must be paid within 7 days of auctions end.On Apr-27-12 at 20:50:34 PDT, seller added the following information: Theres been a lot of questions about this car in particular having rustin the cowl area. I cant express enough that this is an AZ car since day 1. I even went under the dash, and literally grabbed each vent under the dashand tried to pull and twist them to see if they where loose where connected tothe firewall, and both are solid as a rock. No stuck leaves down there (its AZ we have Cactus and bushes) and no moisture, and NO RUST. I know its hard to believe, but if you have ever bought a car from AZ you would understand. Check out our feedback !
