Vehicle Detail

This is really a great truck. The body is in Good condition, with absolutely no major rust issues. The body is solid solid solid. Two tone, blue and white. The aluminum diamond plate running boards are the most solid ones I have seen. I'm about 300 pounds and I can jump on them. They go all the way to the dually fenders, and flare out to meet the width of the fenders. It has a brand new 350 small block, built by Bill Carroll, a high performance engine builder here in Decatur. He has an excellent reputation as a machinist. The truck has a 4 speed manual transmission, a brand new flywheel, pressure plate and clutch disk, and TOB. Truck has a sliding glass, and intermittent wipers. It also has a nice thick steel plate, with a gooseneck hitch bolted to the frame, through the bed. The bed interior is in really good condition as well. The truck had A/C but it will need a compressor and condenser. Interior is decent, carpet needs replacing, but windows roll up smooth and easily. naturally it has the cab lights across the roof, and a HD back bumper. Tilt wheel......sliding back glass..... and perhaps most important, the passenger side rear fiberglass fender. I backed into a short post, and cracked it. A friend of mine, a body man said it could be repaired fairly easily, on the vehicle. The surface rust around the tail light, is the worst place on the truck, and it's still solid, just bubbling. The good news is, these were made of real steel, so there's something to work with there. Seriously this will be a great truck for somebody who puts just a little TLC into it. But you can drive it home. HUGE radiator is like new. My favorite aluminum intake and matching Edelbrock Carb on on this baby. It is the best intake and carb combination I have ever owned, always ran very strong, and still does. Another buddy of mine, a real know it all (and I mean that kindly) told me the intake was worth probably 250-300 by its self. Said it was a very popular one, I could get details if you need them. I will take trades, but am very picky.....don't offer me any junk. I figure this truck is worth about 3,250-4,000, so make any offers equal to those numbers, or I will take partial trades. Right now I need, chains and ratcheting binders, no small than 5/16" and am REALLY looking for one of those half toppers for a full size truck. The kind you take out the back glass and it's kinda like a sleeper. Anything I can use with a gooseneck trailer. Ratchet straps, a camper type air conditioner (roof mount) one of those roof top wind deflectors, or spoilers...... a fuel tank for the bed of my truck.....(diesel) Tool box, fuel tank combo would be great. Old basket case airplane.....sailboats, or land. Land will need to bee in the southern US, nearer to the ocean the better. Pensacola, to NC. Even as far north as Delaware, Maryland. Not a lot, just a couple acres. Leave a message if you have any questions.....Low reserve. DRIVE IT HOME, or I'll deliver it, for 2.00 a mile....on way, from Decatur, IL. On Apr-20-12 at 11:25:07 PDT, seller added the following information: Dear dln7953, What specifically do you want pics of in the interior? The Motor is BRAND NEW. Rebuilt by a very well known, well respected high performance machine shop owner, it has less than 10 miles on it. Paint is still fresh on motor.... Cab corners are very very good. I've been around a while and know what they usually look like. This one is solid. The rockers too, and the doors, and the fenders. The floors look good from the bottom side, but I have not pulled up the carpet to look really close. You asked if they are excellent? Yes, in my opinion....given the age. I did buy a choke cable, it's included but not yet installed. It needs it for cold starts. I just start pumping, then cranking, and it always starts fairly quickly, thus, my procrastination at installing it, but that's exactly what it needs. I think the bench seat is excellent, except for about 6 inches on the drivers side. I think an upholstery shop could fix it fairly easily. If memory serves me, there's a seem right there and that outer part could be replaced, but the rest is excellent. It had air conditioning, and pretty sure you just need compressor, hoses, and evaporator. Tilt wheel, intermittent wipers. AM-FM, sorry, no 8 track. Headliner...hmmmm, I'm pretty sure it's really good. Almost certain. Bed is good, really nice inside, except for a couple dents in the wheel wells, but not bad. They could be gently beat back out. Tail gate looks good, mechanism a little rusty. Take it apart, clean, grease and reassemble will probably fix it. works, it's just really stiff. It had a big block, so the radiator is huge, and in great shape. It really wouldn't take much to REALLY have a nice nice truck. It has great bones. 2 fuel tanks, not sure of the status of one..could be fine... Tires..eh, they're round. Not bald, but I'd put new ones on it. I think they'll get you home, as long as you don't live cross country....maybe even then. Any more questions, just say so. 4 sale locally - industrialsurplusandtoolsOn Apr-23-12 at 19:06:11 PDT, seller added the following information: I added some more pics. Hopefully this helps. I really want you to know, this truck is everything I said it is. I have more pics of the beds interior, the door bottoms, cab corners etc. and as I crawled over it and took pics today, I was really kind of let down that I have to sell this. I have owned it for about 5 years, and I just got it running, and it is really a nice nice truck. I'm hitting the road as a truck driver, and I just don't want to be out of town and have it sit. I could use he money too, to help me get started (Owner Operator in a Hot Shot trucking business). I see the reserve has been met, but if that's all it brings is 1,400, I'm going to be really sad that I let it go for that. I really feel it's worth closer to 3,000,- 3,500. YOU WON'T BE DISAPPOINTED, OR i'LL JUST KEEP IT, NO QUESTIONS ASKED UPON ARRIVAL. YOU HAVE MY WORD. Did I mention that I can deliver this ANYWHERE, for 1.50 a mile, one way from me to you. (loaded on my flatbed). Money back guarantee does not apply here though. On Apr-23-12 at 19:13:52 PDT, seller added the following information: Sorry, keep forgetting stuff. The evaporator is still there. All the A/C needs is one hose, compressor, and charged with freon. And the bed interior, is amazing cept for a dent in each of the front side of the wheel wells, not beat up, looks like something rolled back and dented both at the same time. easy fixes, will pop right out. I didn't see one speck of rust on the inside of the bed. Very little body work, and a paint job and this will be one straight, cherry, original, truck....
