Vehicle Detail
For Sale or trade for other mustang or ricer: 1994 Mustang GT. PPG Laser Red. 170,000 miles. I bought this car as a favor for a friend. He needed to some help and I knew that I could sell the car pretty easily and he needed some cash immediately. I'm not trying to make much on the car...just to break even will suffice. The car is a pretty nice car. It's 18 years old, so it's not a show car by any means but it is a nice mustang to start a project with. The car is basically unmolested and has been for as long as my friend had it. He bought it in 2001. The only thing that isn't stock is the shifter and the exhaust. Car still even has the old choker stock air box on it! LOL I will be absolutely honest in this listing because that's the way I expect to be treated by anyone trying to sell me something. The Good: The car runs and drives pretty well. It Shifts out good, does not grind any gears or come out of gear. It starts up first turn and doesn't hesitate or smoke. Car doesn't excessively shake or pull hard to either side. Saleen hood. Pro 5.0 Shifter. 16" Silver 5 Star wheels. Tires all have good tread, at least 75%. Mac off road H-pipe, mufflers, and tips. Car sounds great. See crappy video that I uploaded to youtube from my cell phone here. http://youtu.be/Ay7QzcClYI0 All the gauges work. Hot heat. Cold AC(upon further review, the compressor is good and works but it only held charge for two weeks. There is obviously a leak that I will address this weekend). Stereo works....it's a pretty nice JVC HD tuner with CD. All interior lights work. Parking brake works. Power door locks, power drivers seat, and power windows work. Horn works. Cruise Control works. Head lights, fog lamps, turn signals, hazards, brake lights work. Brakes pads and rotors are good...at least 60% life left on all four pads. I have an auto gage monster 5 inch tach with shift light that is in the truck and a Haynes repair manual in the trunk. They go with the car. Spare and jack are in the trunk and work. The interior is black and gray and is in overall good shape. There are no rips in the seats or carpet. Time was taken to trim out the interior with the same PPG paint that was used on the outside. CLEAR TITLE(Not rebuilt, not salvage, no liens) The Bad: Speaker in drivers side door does not work. Power mirrors for drivers side does not work. The blower for the AC and Heat only works on low and high...not in between. The part that it needs is a blower motor resistor....it's a small part that plugs into the fan motor under the passenger side glove box(Oreilly's Part # : RU1076 $21.99). Passenger side door panel need new plastic clips on the part you use to shut the door where the doors locks and power window switch is located. Second gear sometimes has a little chatter. I'm not sure if its coming from the transmission or the clutch and it doesn't happen all the time. Usually at low RPM's when the car is cold. It doesn't affect the way the car shifts out at all. I have noticed a little oil on my driveway...it's not very much but it's there. Coming from under the motor. The culprit is more than likely the oil pan gasket or rear main. The wing on the back was added after the paint job and is slightly sun faded. The car, I believe, has the stock shocks and struts on it from 94 and would really benefit from new ones. One of the side marker lights on the front is clear and one is amber. One of the floor mats has a small hole in it from wear. Car Fax: Milage checks out. The car was in an accident in 03 i believe. My friend Will left the road to the left hand side and ran the drivers side of the car down a guard rail. It did only cosmetic damage, no frame damage. The car was professionally repaired and repainted. The car fax also mentions that in 2005 the car was registered in Satsuma Alabama which in near Mobile. Every car registered near the coast in 05 has an asterisk on the car fax report because of Hurricane Katrina. The car was not in Satsuma at the time, it was in Birmingham. This is about all I can think of , I will be happy to answer any questions that anyone may have. I will include several pictures. Thanks, Shane
