Vehicle Detail
This Volvo 850 has served me well for the past two years as my daily driver, but I had the opportunity to purchase a slightly newer V70, so I have decided to sell this one. Since owning the car in April of 2010, I have taken this car on many long trips, without any hassle. I have invested about $2000 in maintenance and parts since owning this vehicle, and all of the receipts will be included with the car. Some recently serviced items include: Transmission Fluid Changed Regularly New Front Brake Calipers and Pads New Windshield (2/10/12) New Timing Belt, Water pump, & Accessory Belt (180k) New Radiator New Front Struts & Mounts New Top Engine Mount New Heater Core New End Links New Front Brake Calipers, Hoses, Pads and Rotors New CV Axles New Tie Rod Ends New Exhaust Manifold New Exhaust Hangers New PCV System & Flame Trap New Intake Manifold Gasket New Bosch Icon Wipers New Fuel Pump New Cam Sensor New Distributor Rotor, Cap, Wires, and Spark Plugs New Trunk/Hatch Struts This Volvo 850 has been a great car to own, and I have taken it on many long trips to destinations throughout the Northeast and Midwest, in all types of weather. I really can’t say enough about this car, as it has been extremely reliable and easy to own. It runs, drives, and stops well, now that it has had some recent brake work. This car does NOT burn oil and does not smoke, though there are a couple minor drips, but no significant leakage between changes. The idle is somewhat irregular at times, when the car is cold, but not always. I suspect there could be a vacuum leak somewhere. The car is currently riding on a matching set of 4 Goodyear Eagle RS/A’s which I had installed about 15,000 miles ago. The interior dome lights have not worked since I have owned the car. However, the instrument illumination and floor lights work properly. This Volvo has never been in an accident or had any paintwork, but does show wear on the original paint and some bumps and dents from careless drivers in the NYC area. All doors and windows function properly, including the power moonroof. The interior of this Volvo features heated leather seats which are in great shape, free of any rips or tears. Currently, there is a JVC MP3/CD Player installed (with front aux-in), and coupled with the stock speakers, it sounds great! This Volvo is neither new nor perfect, but is comfortable and economical transportation that’s a pleasure to drive. Please take time to look at all of the photos, as I feel they accurately depict the cosmetic condition of the car in its entirety. > I have done my best to accurately describe the vehicle, but there may be some items I forgot to mention, so please ask me questions before auction end. Your bid is your contract to buy. Non-paying bidders will be reported. I reserve the right to end this auction at any time, as the car is for sale locally. This Volvo is sold AS-IS, no warranties or guarantees expressed or implied. I am minutes from Newark airport and NYC, and I don’t see why this car wouldn’t make a trip home, wherever you are from. A non-refundable deposit to confirm the sale is required within 48 hours of auction end. Payment is due within 7 days, and the vehicle must be picked up within 14 days of auction end. All payment must be cleared before the new owner can take possession of this Volvo. I will not ship this car, but may be able to assist you with pickup/meeting with your transporter. On Apr-08-12 at 07:20:43 PDT, seller added the following information: Note: I do have a proper "VOLVO" emblem for the back of the car, and can replace the "LOLVO" emblem for the new owner if they desire. Also, the fresh air vent dial has been stubborn lately, so for the best A/C performance, you can close the center vents and use the side and floor vents to cool the car quickly. I will check to be sure this is charged before the new buyer takes possession. Also, I may remove the hitch receiver that I have used for my bike rack, unless the bidding hits $2000; then I will leave it for the new buyer. On Apr-10-12 at 06:30:34 PDT, seller added the following information: I forgot to mention: I have a set of headlight wiper motors and arms which I will include for the new owner if they desire. I also have an aftermarket rubber cargo mat that I will include with the car as well.
