I am selling my 1986 Porsche 944 Turbo. As expected with a 26 year old car, there are some good and some bad. Below is a clear description of the car. Condition of the car: Exterior – Looks great, there are a few minor dents and dings and one small patch of rust under the passenger side door. Interior – The carpet has been replaced and the front seats have been re-upholstered. There is a cap on the dash board to cover the normal wear and tear from the 26 year old car. Looks great. I have replace the cassette player with a CD player (I still have the cassette player and I will provide it with the car). I have also had the old stock sub removed and put two custom sub boxes in the rear fender well. Those will come with the car as well as the amp to power them. I have added a air/fuel gauge and a vacuum/boost gauge. They are not currently connected; however I will provide you with everything you need to hook it up. Mechanical – Spring of 2011 I blew the engine. As a result I had to replace it with one from a totaled 944. The car I pulled it from had approximately 86,000 miles on it. The odometer on the car reads in the mid approximately 78,000. However since the engine had to be replaced I took the opportunity to replace all the gaskets and hoses, as well as the belts (including the timing belt) and the clutch. I had the brakes redone 2 summers ago with slotted and cross drilled rotors. I have also recently just put a new battery in the car. In addition several stock components have been replaced with parts from Lindsey Racing. It probably just needs a recharge as it worked when I first bought it. The rear wiper doesn’t work, and I have replaced the motor. The cruise control, power lock, and poer drivers seat also don’t work. The emergeny brake cable also needs to be reconnected. Lastly there is an exhaust leak, the gaskets are on backwards for the header. All of these should be relatively easy fixes, I just don't have the time.
