Vehicle Detail
RE-LISTED - BUYER WANTED CAR BUT DID NOT HAVE THE CASH. PLEASE, ONLY BID IF YOU HAVE THE FUNDS TO COMPLETE THE PURCHASE. 1956 Buick Roadmaster. I purchased this car in Winter of 2006. When I got it home I realized that the floors and the body mounts needed more attention then I felt comfortable attacking. Auto Rust Technicians in Providence, RI took the car and went through the entire undercarriage. The car is actually on their website autorust.com (if you go to the website, look under project pictures. Note there are two sets of pictures, one before and one after). They also replaced the rocker panels inner and outer, and the bottoms of the rear quarters. As you can see from the pictures. The car is all there. It is a beautiful example of mid 50’s styling, only affordable. The engine runs strong, the transmission shifts out as it should and the rear end is quiet. It is also the right body style, 2 door hardtop, no post. The car comes with most of everything you need to have it on the road this summer. New brake parts; lines, wheel cylinders, ebrake cable, all in the trunk. There is a new gas tank sending unit installed and the tank has been dropped, cleaned and reinstalled. Rebuilt carb installed and old carb is in the trunk. All of the stainless trim, door panels, hubcaps, etc are all there, in the trunk. Electric windows, all work. Electric front seat, also worked when disassembled. The car sits as you see it in the pictures. Bumpers are in storage. They were removed, cleaned up, and the backs were painted and sealed. It needs to be hauled on a flatbed , you can not drive it home. Rhode Island does not title cars over 10 years old. Car will be sold with a bill of sale, and the last registration. Along with the car comes the original paperwork from when it was purchased in 1955. Shop manuals, and all the paperwork I have gathered for the car over the past few years. This will be an awesome project for someone to finish, I wish it could have been me, but that was not in the cards. This is a no reserve auction, car will be sold to the highest bidder. Thank you and good luck. I can tell you that I paid $6000 for the car and put over $3000 into it. Car comes with all my receipts, etc. NOTE: THE PICTURE OF THE CAR WITH THE HOOD UP, IN THE WAREHOUSE IS HOW IT LOOKED WHEN I BOUGHT THE CAR IN 2006, THE DAY I GOT IT HOME.
