Always a Texas car, this Henry Ford steel example has never been cut. The story behind this car is it was owned by a Texas man and passed down to his son. The son had the car restored to its stunning condition approximately 8 years ago and has logged 4,955 smile & wave generating miles since. This is a fully equipped, air conditioned & Ford powered street rod you can actually DRIVE and SHOW. The body, doors, hood assembly, trunk lid, and firewall are steel. They were said to be perfect, but were lost over the years. The rear valance piece is also fiberglass. Otherwise, the body, doors, hood assembly and trunk is Henry Ford steel. This has always been a dry climate Texas example. The Kid's dynamite stance is the product of a plethora of quality components in action along with the mystical Five-Window Coupe's classic body lines. This beautiful Coupe was photographed at Ben Gill Park in Terrell along with a few photos along a Texas country road. Open the door to a beautiful street rod. This interior consists of billet aluminum accents and sheer simplicity. Not without driver comfort and safety, this rod is equipped with air conditioning & 4-wheel disc brakes. The dash features VDO black face gauges housed in billet aluminum. The Ididit tilt steering column is mounted with a billet aluminum piece that also houses the ignition switch and lighter. Atop the steering wheel is this special billet banjo steering wheel, a very tasteful and attractive piece easy on the hands. This is a great driving street rod you can get in and enjoy. Slide in these comfortable low profile multi-colored tweed bucket seats and cruise. The wheels are by Vintage Wheels, wrapped in new B.F. Goodrich radial T/As sized at 255/70R15s in the rear along with a pair of new 185/65R14 radials up front. Stopping power is courtesy of 4-wheel disc brakes. We have a set of very nice machined custom 5-star alloy wheels/new tires than can also be installed if desired. The front end is by Pete & Jakes, consisting of a Mustang II rack and pinion, polished brake calipers. Power is courtesy of a stout rebuild 351 c.i. 4bbl. Windsor V8 engine that has been fitted with a performance cam and pistons. This Blue Oval powerplant is paired with a C6 automatic transmission & 9-inch rear end housing 3.73 gears. The stout 9-inch is in clear view. The Texas Kid sure looks sweet from behind. The firewall is steel. Moving back up front, the engine compartment features a beautifully detailed STEEL firewall underneath the steel hood assembly. The engine itself has been dressed with an aluminum intake, 4bbl, carburetor, and Ford Motorsport valve covers. Breathing duties are courtesy of headers flowing through a free-flowing exhaust system (Sounds Excellent). The alternator is chromed. The undercarriage showcases the tubular chassis along with the tried and true 9-inch Ford rear end. This traction-lok aided rear end is paired with 3.73 gears. A C6 automatic transmission shifts with authority behind the strong running 351W V8. The fuel tank is polished. Polished chrome includes the driveshaft, Pete & front suspension, shocks, front brake calipers, leaf spring mounts, oil pan and transmission pan. The fuel tank is polished, with the fuel fill located in the trunk. The vivid blue & black paint shows exceptionally well throughout. There are a few chip touch-ups and minor imperfections on an EXCELLENT car. The rear plate is a vintage '34 Texas plate and is vacuum solenoid activated and lowered when the car starts, naturally. The trunk lid is Henry Ford steel, the underside and trunk upholstered to match the interior. A hidden compartment houses the battery. "Mikey Did It" and did it very well, this Thirty-Four shines with the hand painted lines. The doors, hood side panels, and trunk lid open and close with ease. The paint displays an excellent gloss. The car is an absolute beauty on the road, in a showroom, or a garage. This is a driven car ready to pamper and enjoy! Again, you can reach Sam at 972-748-6389 or email with any questions.
