TIN TOP with A/C and EXTRAS Like most of my precious toys it is time for this ZUK to have a new home. I am out of space and can't stop driving the litte beast. I purchased this Samurai in 2008 from a Custom Hot Rod builder in Mn. who took it on trade from the ORIGINAL family. The Sami was delivered to Nevada when new then moved with its family to Utah until it was partially traded in early 2008. I purchased it on pictures alone and had it shipped to a family garage in St Louis while I deployed overseas. In 2011 I flew up to St Louis to visit my family and in person met the little beast for the first time. The gentleman I purchased the Sami from stated that the miles on the Sami were original, at the time of purchase it had 42,292 miles as listed on my bill of sale. The miles did not matter to me originally do to the amazing condition. After a close and personal inspection of the Samurai, I could do nothing but agree to the mileage as the condition is nearly the best I've seen for a 25 year old Samurai. Sure it has nicks and dings in the paint and a couple of small dents but the whole Samurai except the tires was completely stock! So, I have the name of the original owners if you care to contact them, never felt the need this Samurai speaks for itself. I know what the CARFAX says, I ran the info in 2008 and still have the copy I ran back then. Only difference now is my registration is on there. Yes, I did not register the Samurai for 2 years, I wasn't around to drive it. Florida would not accept the Original copy (0 miles) UTAH title I had as the original and registered it as Florida EXEMPT. Seriously? They know how to work us car lovers!!Now for the good. First thing I did before driving home from St Louis was flush all the coolant, oil, and fuel filter, changed the plugs, wires, rotor and cap myself. Receipt from Valvoline for the fluids. The A/C blew cool but was not converted at the time. It still had R12 in it, THATS RIGHT R12! I checked the tires, removed the mechanical fan, installed an electric fan w/therm @ 165 deg.,(no splicing of factory wires was necessary, I interfaced appropriately with the factory harness and it can easily be returned to stock), installed a used radio and hit the road back to Central Florida where I live. People who knew I was going to drive back thought I was insane! They would never have guessed what a pleasant ride I had. South through Tenn and back country hills of N. Alabama did not stop the little beast. It climbed and drove flawlessly better and better with every mile and the stock Carb with a K&N filter to breath. With each fill up I kept nearly every receipt to see how the mileage was and it recorded mid twenties through the elevation (still have the receipts to prove). I did reach speeds of 70MPH and NO that wasn't down hill! Average speed fell more into the high 50's/low 60's on grades and 65 on the flats and in Florida. Back in Florida, I became addicted to the little beast even more! The road trip showed me what I have missed all these years with the Samurai craze. The Samurai and I drove to and from work for a few months (68 miles round trip mix of hwy and city). It earned as high as 28MPG and a low of 24 (again the fuel receipts are in the ashtray). I had the A/C converted to R134 and it blew nicely in the heat and humidity of Florida. I realized that I was taking some risk with the original timing belt and parked the little beast back in the garage until I could get time to do the work myself. A couple moths ago I started ordering parts. Timing belt kit, valve cover gasket (was leaking at rear and thought it was the distributer), both distributer seals, crank seal, cam seal, waterpump (ur goin to be in there anyway, might ad well do it),oil pan reseal. Last month I replaced all of these items and all the A/C O rings and expansion valve (supposed to have larger orifice for R134) while I was in the A/C I dropped the condensor and cleaned it for my personal satisfaction. I added Inner and exterior aluminum door handles from Low Range Off Road (VERY NICE)! Two new front Sony speakers and replaced the failing CD player. While the radio box was out, I fabricated a 3/16" aluminum bracket to fit inside the radio box. You do not have worry about the flimsy plastic faceplate falling out EVER again. The 12 volt socket will not let you down either. I kept EVERY part I removed to show the next owner. The water pump is as tight as the new one and the timing components looked very good sans belt starting to crack(pictures taken before and after installation to show the condition after removing the timing gear cover. Lastly I adjusted the valves as I am sure they were never done "guessing". I did not bother with the vacuum lines and will leave that for the next owner to play with. It fired up first turn of the key and pleases me even more than after the drive home from St Louis. This Samurai has a couple of unusual options installed, the A/C is a dealer installed option from what I know. Additionally, this Samurai has the following Suzuki Genuine Accessories (SGA) installed: Roof Rack, Parking lamp guards on front and rear bumpers, and brush guard with headlight protection and factory fog light switch (don't know if the lights themselves are the original). The exterior has never been repainted or repaired. I dont even want to remove the surface rust from the bumpers or brush guard (lets call it patina). I have treated some of the paint chips with POR clear. There are a few (I think 4 in particular) small dents (bottom of drivers door, just past the drivers door behind the door handle, on the right rear corner, and barely visible on the hood near the crease at the top of the bulge.) The pictures I am posting are from the last time I listed the Samurai. It sits in my garage therefore there is no reason to take a whole new slew of pictures. If you do not see something you would like a picture of then let me know and I will send it to your email. There is AT WORST some surface rust on various areas of the carriage and a few spots around the mount screws in the fenderwells (pics avaiable). There is without a doubt something I am forgetting. Ask any reasonable question and you will get an answer. My feedback is flawless and several folks have flown in over the years and drove home from here in Florida. I can not guarantee a 25 year old vehicle YET I would leave in this Samurai for California tomorrow without a worry in the world and the A/C blowing OR heat if your heading to the far North. I do not want any trades I have seven other wheeled children in my posession already. Please DO NOT solicit me for sales opportunities. Have the means to pay if you are going to bid. I expect a $250. NON-REFUNDABLE DEPOSIT within 24 hours of auctions end or I will offer it to the next highest bidder. DO NOT Ask me for the reserve, it's and auction. I reserve the right to end this auction early without penalty, obligation, or explanation. I will NOT be responsible for shipping or shipper in any way. "ZERO" feedback/purchase bidders must contact me prior to bidding or your bids will not be recognized as official. Assistance meeting the shipper can be arranged. Thank you and good luck! PG A few things I forgot to mention. Repaired the drivers Bucket seat vinyl at the recline lever (you would not notice if I didn't tell you). Replaced all window tint with 15%, looks VERY nice. I have installed a early model back folding bench seat that has been recovered. It does not have the seatbelts. This JX model does have rear window defrost, intermitten wipers, clock, dash cover, and wiper washers. On Apr-01-12 at 09:29:27 PDT, seller added the following information: UPDATE! For those who asked for updated pictures. I took the pictures you requested this morning and was only able to add four of them. Unfortunately Ebay does not let you update you initial listing once the first bid is placed. If you would still like the current pictures sent to you, please provide a email address in your inquiry and I will send you the current pictures. I apologize for the inconveinence. The pictures will show that the vehicle condition matches the pictures posted from June 2011. The only exception would be the window tint. By the way there is a picture of the rear door without the tire in place. I wanted viewers to see the condition of the door and spare tire mount. Ive owned many Broncos, a few Jeeps and the Samurai. Even my 1972 Bronco with 60K miles is not this clean behind the spare or on the tire mount itself (rust, discoloration, etc). Thanks and feel free to ask questions, PG
