This is a very good example of a BARN FIND vehicle. The Studebaker Company produced 17,500 of the Commander Skyway coupes in 1942 and this is a survivor. There is some minor denting, the left front fender is damaged by the headlight ( see photo ) and the top is dented in, but I think it will pop out. The fenders, body, and overall condition is in good shape with little or no rust. The floor boards are sound also. The interior was lived in by Mickey and Mini for a while, but the springs and overall condition is in pretty good shape. To the best of my knowledge all or most of the chrome/stainless is there with the exception of a light or two. The engine is a straight six, I believe it should be a 226 cid. The windshield is in great shape and the side (flat) glass is only fair. All wheels are free and it rolls easily. This car is being sold at NO RESERVE. Pick up only in Auburn Indiana. I will answer all questions to the best of my ability and photo anything esle you may want. This is your chance to get a piece of American heritage for restoration or even to customize if you so choose. There is no title for this vehicle so it will be sold with a bill of sale only.
