Vehicle Detail
I am selling my RB26dett powered '71 240z Series 1. I hate to part with it but life forces me to move on from this project. Many americans supt up their S30s with V8s which is a great choice but I have always loved nissans and wanted to stay true to the Nissan name. The car is insanely fast! This is a streetable car running on a street tune. It has always had a conservative tune estimated to be 450-500hp. This is a guess as the car has not been dynoed. Stock RB26 bottom ends are stated to be capable of withstanding 600hp and daily driven. The N1 Turbos are rated for 360hp per turbo. The motor was imported and reported to have less than 45k KM. The compression is good and it runs very well. The odometer showed 43K miles prior to the motor swap' since then it has had less than 1k miles on the new motor. Body Very clean '71 Series 1 mfg date 10/70 with a clean Oklahoma Title in hand ZG Flares OEM Nissan Fender Mirrors currently sell for $350 to $400 if you can find them. However I would not say it is in perfect condition. The battery tray had some rust but was sandblasted to bare metal, primed and resprayed with the rest of the engine compartment prior to the motor installation. There is a small amount of surface rust on both doglegs behind the doors and there is some surface rust on the floor pans. Both areas are stable and very solid and have been for five years as the car is garage kept and has not seen rain since I've owned it. I have been under this car for more weekends than I can remember and there are no rust issues at all underneath the car the pans and subframe are very solid. The car would benefit from an allover respray and those small areas addressed but I have not seen the need. People compliment the car wherever I go.
