The 968 has been regarded as the best (and last) of Porsche’s 4 cylinder engines. In fact, this 3.0 liter engine was the 2nd largest 4 cylinder ever produced. Producing 236hp and 225 lb. feet of torque, this Porsche convertible was not only a great touring car, but also a fun sports car for any condition. And, it sips the gas getting 25 mpg! Porsche did not import many of these cars and finding well cared for examples with a great history is even harder. The Horizon Blue color is very rare with only 34 cabriolets ever delivered and only 2 had the Marine Blue leather.

The owner of this 968 purchased the car about 10 years ago from the original owner who was a close friend of his. The car had around 87,000 miles on it when he purchased it. He always admired the way his friend cared for the car and new that there would be no questions. In fact, he still has every receipt from day one.
The current owner is a mature professional who is meticulous about maintaining his car. The car spent most of it’s life being maintained by the famous Andial until they stopped servicing street cars. For the last couple of years, Visions Motorsports (one of the premier independent Porsche repair facilities in SoCal. The owner worked for Andial too.) has maintained this car. Looking through the receipts, besides normal service items, nothing major ever happened to this Porsche. It has always been a reliable car. Recent repairs include the following:

We have every receipt since new. The records are impressive!
This Porsche is in very good condition considering that it is 20-years old with 100k miles. This is proof about the quality of these cars as well as the care this car has received. The paint is original with very few signs of wear. There is a nickel size spot on the top of the right front fender (see photo) where the paint has worn thin. Not sure why, but it can easily be repaired. We opted to not do any paint so that there would be no question about the fact that this car has had zero incidents. The entire soft top was recently replaced and looks fantastic. The interior is also very tidy. The headliner is in great condition as are the seats. There are no tears on the leather and very little signs of wear. The A/C blows cold and all the gauges work great except for the clock. The only other blemish is the dash, which has quite a few cracks.
The car drives great. It shifts smoothly and accelerates smoothly. It is getting harder and harder to find 968s that are this well maintained. It’s hard to believe, but this over $53,000 new!
Included with this Porsche are all the books, service records, extra key, tool kit, spare, jack, original radio, original window sticker, and car cover.
