Vehicle Detail
1967 Volkswagen Beetle Type1 1500cc air cooled engine 4 speed manual with fiberglass hood deck lid and fenders. New front flex brake lines, Rear shocks and rebuilt carb. Comes with a few extra left overs. Has a nice set of Cragar Super trick rims and good tires on 5 lug Chevy adapters. Runs and shifts great. Tends to pull to the right when braking still adjusting out the new brakes it is fine to drive anywhere but I would still consider a project car. The paint is bright red not the best job in the world but its one color and shines. Interior needs some work radio needs hooked up and the wiper motor needs installed. The driver side pan was replaced at some point but there is some rust on both sides now. I have a complete custom made 67 Baja decal package for it ($150.00) I will throw in as well. If your local please stop by the shop and have a look "CarPaint" 6897 N Dixie Dr Dayton Ohio or Email me for my phone number if you have questions. Thanks KevinOn Mar-26-12 at 05:43:27 PDT, seller added the following information: I added pictures of the bad areas of the pans. They should be patched or replaced to prevent further rusting but it would be fine to leave as is and drive. On Mar-28-12 at 03:53:08 PDT, seller added the following information: Okay I hope I can answer everyone's questions with this update, (I never thought a old Baja bug would get this kind of attention) The paint has some runs on the lip edge of the hood and on the drivers side rear fender and no I didn't paint it I was teaching a class and the students painted it. I have the wiper motor and it works I am just uncertain how to wire it up properly to run at variable speeds so I left it as was. The head lights, running light, interior lights and brake lights work as do the fuel gauge and speedo. It has rust on the floor pans and in my opinion should be patched or replaced. The brakes will stop you without issue but tend pull to the right and I am not a VW mechanic and just cant seem to get them adjusted out despite the new lines and much reading on how to do it. The head liner is in good shape and the door panels and rear seat are fair the front seats are torn just like the pictures look. If your looking to run down the road in something that looks cool and is fun to drive while you work on the little stuff this is a great car. If your looking for a showcase restored bug you should bid on something else. I just dont want anyone to be disappointed. Please give me a call if you have any questions. Thanks Kevin 937-903-4102
