Up for auction is this great looking 1955 Ford F-1 short bed pickup. This is an awesome truck with tons of upgrades and custom touches! The truck has an excellent running mildly built Ford 351 Windsor backed by a 3 speed automatic transmission. The motor has a small cam, edelbrock intake, edelbrock carb, full msd ignition and ceramic coated headers. The motor pulls really strong and cruises great on the highway and has an awesome exhaust tone! The truck has power steering and power brakes with disks in the front and drums on the rear. The suspension is a mustang 2 type front end with a power rack and the rear has a ford 9" rear end with leaf springs. The truck rides really nice! The interior of the truck is done very nice with a tan leather split bench seat, tan custom tweed door panels and headliner, tan carpet and billet door handles and window control buttons. The steering column is a chrome tilt ididit unit with a very nice billet steering wheel with an oak outer wheel. The shifter is a very nice push button Lokar unit. The pedals in the truck as well as all of the knobs on the dash are billet aluminum. The gauges in the truck are all Autometer phantom gauges that look very nice as you will see in the pics. The truck has power windows and power locks and even has a power front cowl vent that raises with push of a button! There is also a full stereo system with speakers behind the seat. The glass on the truck is tinted and very nice with only one small chip in the front windshield. The heater is an old Kenworth unit under the dash that works great and looks really cool. This truck was restored about 15 years ago so there is some small paint issues. There are some chips in the front end and a scratch on the top of the driver front fender from the tilt hood coming off the track which you can see in the last pic. There are some bubbles starting to form under the gas filler on the lower driver side cab corner due to some moisture some how getting in there over the years. Overall the truck still shines up awesome and looks very good. The body is solid and very straight! The front fenders are steel and the rears are fiberglass. The bed of the truck is very nice with oak slats and chrome runners. There is a crack starting to form in one of the boards but it still looks great! The wheels are 15" Boyd Codingtons and look great on this truck. The tires are in good shape and have lots of tread still. This is a really nice looking and driving Ford F-1 that actually has a Ford in it! This is a truck that you can drive to the show and then drive home. There was alot of time put into this truck and you couldn't build one for this price. This is an awesome truck and whoever wins it will be very happy so BID TO WIN!! Fly in and drive it home!
