Hello: I am placing for auction with no reserve my 1985 Chevrolet Corvette. The car is very well equipped and is an excellent running sports coupe. The mileage is 152000 plus but it is a seriously dependable and fast machine. The body is in excellent condition without any cracks or splits in the glass fiber. The doors close solidly and there is absolutely no sag at their hinges. The gaps and seams are all in proper order. The power windows, locks and seat work well. There is an Alpine AM/FM CD player in the dash that works extremely well. The signal lights, stop lights and headlights all work as they should. The transmission is the venerable 700R4 4 spd auto and the shifts are crisp and accurate. The car tracks straight down the road and there is no wandering or pulling upon braking. All in all a solid example with some issues. Perhaps the biggest problem is the paint. A previous owner chose to change the color from gold to dark green. Prep work prior to paint was obviously poorly done evidenced by peeling and bubbling. Other issues include the absence of a backlight for the instrument cluster. All gauges work as they should and can be seen, albeit dimly. I was told it may be a fuse so I will be investigating this. The AC blows and appears to have some charge but is not ICE cold. The seats have been recovered in vinyl and there are no rips but it is not the original cloth or leather. The windscreen has a long crack through it and will need to be replaced.
