THIS IS A NO RESERVE AUCTION . HI BIDDER WINS IT!!!!!!!! Here I have a 1941 Chevrolet. 6 cylinder 4 manual transmission. The guy I bought this from said it had been his grandpa's truck for many years and that It had been fixed up about 15 years ago. When I Purchased it I drove home, about 25 miles. This truck runs pretty good considering it age. At high rpm it knocks a bit. I have been driving around town and at cruising speeds(30 -35 mph) it runs just fine. It has a bit of a miss you notice when shifting from 2nd to 3rd . Maybe new points. condense.r plug wires. would help????? I installed brand new 6 volt battey, The brake lights work as well as the rear running lights. The headlights do no come on . (loose wire? Fuse?) As far as I can tell its all original . This is the perfect truck for anyone who wants to get into an old truck with out a lot of cash or time.With a little maintenance you could leave as-is and just enjoy it for what it is. I have been driving around town and my thumb is tired of returning all the Thumbs-Up I have been getting. Or... Any rodder that wants to resto-rod it. The tires are tubed tires and the tires are dry rotted and need to be replaced. The paint is in descent shape but not perfect by any means there are shiney spots and dull spots chips,drips and runs here and there.It is single stage paint. NOT base/ clear . As far as I can tell bondo was used but it doesn't appear that the bondo was used to hold the truck together. On the front fender the bondo is cracking and if you feel the inside of the fender its not a big blob of bondo. With out stripping the truck down I have no real way of knowing though. From what I can tell the bondo was used but not abused. This truck is from New Mexico, its pretty dry out here. How I did find some rust on the very bottom of the driver side door (SEE PIC) the passenger side is in good shape. (SEE PIC) the emergency brake doesn't work not sure if it needs new cable or what. Drivers window rolls down, passengers is stuck . Driver side door has to be opened from the outside. inside handle doesn't work. There is a spare tire and wheel , generator,starter. not sure if they work. I also have a new gasket for the tilt out windshield. The windshield was glued in but i cranked it out and inch or so and seems to work but I didn't want force it. The exhaust pipe has a hole in it. It needs replaced. The wheels and hub caps are not in that good of shape they will work for cruising but they are far from show quality. The brakes work, but you have to pump them. If you were to keep it original you might want to add a new master cylinder. This truck ready to be enjoyed , by someone who is going to drive. restore, rod, use for advertising, What ever. It is not a modern car that you can just get in and hit the interstate. Who ever end up this will be pleased. I will help load on transport or trailer.Even though it runs and drive I would NOT Try to drive it home (unless you live 25 miles from here).
