Vehicle Detail
This is a white 1987 AMC/Jeep Grand Wagoneer that was orginally bought in Santa Barbara, CA. It doesn't show any rust but since Santa Barbara is a city close to the ocean we'll say it has minimum to no rust, 'though I don't see any. The previous owner passed away around 2005 and his family kept it for all these years and they finally decided to sell it to someone who would bring her back to the normal standards and that's where I came in, I bought it and have been working on her non stop for the last 2-3 months. They barely drove it in the past 7 years, once every few months and just around the block so that's why the low miles. I do have a Carfax on her I can send out to interested parties where this data is detailed. I did a complete tune up on her, (spark plugs, wires, cap and rotor, air/fuel/oil filters, oil change, newer battery, carburated it, you name it). She runs strong and steady. I just replaced all 4 tires yesterday Wednesday, March 14 with new ones, they even have the tags on the tread. The transmission shifts on time and there are no whining noises from the differential; the 4x4 works, too, in High and Low. There is a CD player that works; A/C and Heater work. All windows and locks have been serviced and they all work. The rear/back window works from the back with the key and with the button on the dash. The cruise control is not working, I haven't looked into it. The gas guage works good when around a quarter or less but has some play when it is half full or more. The original Marchal fog light work, all the outside lights work, too. There are no oil leaks, I fixed the radiator, too, it never goes over 1/4 in temperature. This is not a noisy ride, when I had the windows and locks greased and serviced they put the panels back on with care and tight, so when you are driving it doesn't feel like an old bucket, it is very tight, the suspension, too, no rattles really. I had it painted, same color, it was a commercial $1100 dollar paint job but looks good. I had the whole interior redone, and by this I mean I had all the seats, the headliner and all the carpet redone, it looks awesome, (the floor-mats are the original ones from tha factory from day 1, they even have the Jeep logo on them); Also, there are no bruises or cuts on top of the dash. I had the outside window weatherstrips replaced, they tend to brittle and crack, these are new, so the windows are cleaned properly when going up and down and they hold the windows in place and rattle-free. There are no "plug ins" missing on the wood trim, (they're the little round wood thingies that go on the trim) and the wood grain is in good shape. It comes with a clean (non-salvage) CA title ready to be signed over by me, the registered owner. Current CA registration until Sept/02/2012 and it comes with a CA smog check good 'til April 23rd. Although I've put lots of time and effort on the car it is still a 25 year old vehicle, a classic now by the way, so, don't expect a new car. I'd say this is one of the prettiest and best driving Waggies out there without shelling out tens of thousands of dollars, and I'm sure, whoever takes her home will be proud of owning her. They are becoming very scarce, you hardly see them on the road anymore, the ones I see I see them on TV commercials, TV series or movies...so I think they will not only retain their value but very likely will go up in prices. I am being as honest as I can and as descriptive as possible but don't hesitate to contact me if you have any questions or concerns. If you are the winning bidder and are from out of town and are flying in to pick her up I can go meet you at any of our nearby airports (LAX; Orange County's John Wayne's; Burbank Regional Airport or Ontario's). If you will have it shipped I can assist and coordinate with the shipping company, but it is the BUYER's responsability to pay for the shipping. Being a used car it is sold in "as is" basis, but it comes with a CA smog check and it starts on the first attempt, and eventhough it's a carburator I only pump the pedal twice in the morning and no more! The CA license plates go with the car, so, if you are driving her home you don't have to do any paper work (e.g. permits) and you can turn in the plates at your local DMV. If you want to transfer ownership here we'll go to the local AAA for that, too. { we will work on the selling $ if you want so you can get a break =) } TERMS OF SALE: This is a 7 day auction; I require a $200 dllrs deposit via Paypal or to my Chase acct within 48 hrs and full payment within 7 days of auction close (cash/ bank wire or deposit/ NO personal checks, and if paying with cashier's check we will meet at my bank's branch to deposit it =) I can store the car for more days if you need that at no cost. I will not release the Waggy and her title until full payment has been made, obviously. There is NO RESERVE, so the winning bid at the end will be the proud new owner of this baby. My Wagoneer is NOT for sale anywhere else and it's exclusively for sale at ebay, so, bid to win! There is NO buy-it-now price so please don't ask, I like true Auctions and I want to be fair to all other interested parties =) I have sold some of my cars to low feedback ebayers, but as a precaution I require that if you have less then 5 feedbacks and/or are new to ebay you MUST contact me before bidding through ebay's internal email with your contact info and anything you want to add or ask, if you don't I might have ebay cancel your bids, seriously. I am an ebay member since 2003 so bid with confidence! THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU =)
