1958 Skyliner Retractable AKA Fairlane 500 :) This is one of the most unique and rarest Fords ever built Ford was the only American car company to step up and show the world what they future could hold. This cars been sitting for about 30 yrs here in the AZ desertAlot of the rust on the surface is just that, and most of it came off with some 600 wet/dry in a few minutes. For an Az car it still aquired a little more rust then Im use to seeing, but Im sure far less then something on the eastcoast.The original 352 V8 INTERCEPTOR 4v motor / PS / Auto trans all there, and the motor spins over freely. Didnt try to start it yet but honestly I bet it would run. More then likely whoever buys it would do a complete resto from ft to back. We unhooked the front latches and the hit the PT switch and it tried to go back. We then unhooked and cleaned up the retractable arms and hit jumped some of the relays and the top came by 70% by itself ( I have a video, pretty cool). But then two bolts broke, so not to do any damage we put it all back up and locked it down. The trunk screws when jumped at the relay worked too. This is such a great car, anyone would love to own it. These restored bring in great money and will always be a Blue Chip Investment.How many are left ? Everything seems to be there too so you wont have to track down parts for a months. Radio and bezel are missing, but I have access to one if the winner needs it for an extra $250. Stainless Trim is pretty nice too.ALL the glass is good (except for 2 side flat windows) For a 40+ yr old AZ car, this is in amazing shape and runs as well as it looks. Some of the plastic and rubber of course is dry or cracked, but NO and really NO RUST on this car other then surface. hope you enjoyed our pics ! Needs some work but worth the time and $$. These cars for under 10K rarely come up for sale very often So dont less this one get away !! Either way it would be a great car to restore one way or another.
